Overzicht
There we will stop for about 1 hour where you can admire splendid views, the cathedral with the panorama of Etna and the famous Turrisi bar, where you can taste the famous almond wine.
On the way back we will go to Taormina, where we will stop for about 2 hours to visit the entire Corso Umberto, where there are numerous shops, the ancient Greek theatre, and the possibility of tasting typical local products, or if you prefer there will also be the possibility of extending the stop if you wish to have lunch there.
On the way back we will stop "at the balcony", where we can admire the panorama of Isola Bella and take some photos.
On the way back to Messina, we will stop at Cristo Re, where you can admire the panorama of the Strait of Messina and the Duomo cathedral with the largest astronomical clock in Europe.
If you want, we will offer you one of the typical local products such as arancini, granita or cannoli.

Castelmola
Vanuit de haven van Messina is het ongeveer 60 minuten rijden naar Castelmola. Onderweg bewonderen we de adembenemende landschappen van Sicilië en maken we een reis terug in de tijd, waarbij we de geschiedenis van het eiland herbeleven. Als we in het middeleeuwse dorp aankomen, stoppen we ongeveer een uur. Je kunt er genieten van het prachtige uitzicht, de typische lokale winkeltjes, de kathedraal met uitzicht op de Etna en de beroemde Turrisi-bar, waar je desgewenst amandelwijn kunt proeven.

Taormina
We komen kort na Castelmola aan in Taormina, waar we ongeveer twee uur zullen stoppen. Je krijgt de gelegenheid om het hele historische centrum op eigen tempo te verkennen, inclusief de vele winkels, het oude Griekse theater en de kans om typische lokale producten te proeven. Indien gewenst kun je je verblijf verlengen om daar te lunchen. Op de terugweg stoppen we bij een panoramisch uitzichtpunt, waar we het panorama van het natuurreservaat Isola Bella kunnen bewonderen. We blijven daar ongeveer 10 minuten en na een paar foto's vertrekken we weer richting Messina.

Messina
Eenmaal terug in Messina, stoppen we bij Cristo Re, een panoramisch en historisch punt vanwaar je kunt genieten van het uitzicht over de Straat van Messina. Ook in Messina, als u dat wilt, nemen we u mee om een van onze typische lokale producten te proeven op plekken waar de lokale bevolking komt, voordat we de tour afsluiten bij de Duomo met zijn prachtige astronomische klok.

Andrea was an incredible guide! He interacted with each of us, explained the history of each stop and provided us with great views and even bought us food! We were on a 3 week cruise and this was the best of the 14 excursions we did. I wish we had more time in Sicily but would HIGHLY recommend this tour.
This is the second time we booked with Angelo. First time was as 2 families this time as a couple. Angelo was able to meet all of our requests making it so special for my partner who has a special birthday this year. We saw parts of the Island we didn’t see the first time. We also got to access parts of the island we would never have seen had we chosen to go with a tour bus due to the narrow roads. We had a guide with us this time also, Alex who was English speaking and amazing. Having local knowledge is the best. We got to eat the best Arancini balls on the island, along with sampling lemoncello, canolli, granita and brioche. From start to finish we had lots of laughs creating memories that will last forever. We never felt rushed at any of our stops and had confidence we would make it back in good time for our ship. After each stop Angelo would make sure the van was air conditioned keeping it cool as it was super hot as well as providing all the cold refreshments. We consider Angelo and Alex as family. We had the most amazing day with Andrea who took us to Taormina, Castemola, and Isola Bella. He was a very safe driver along the windy roads of Sicily and brought a positive energy to the day! Andrea was patient, kind, knowledgeable and did all he could to make our day memorable. We could not asked for more exploring this beautiful place. Angelo and his guide Oleksandra are wonderful. The knowledge they shared was amazing and they were very accommodating to my limited mobility needs and adjusted the tour accordingly. We had a great time and would book them again.
