Kom wandelen met Alpenglow Adventures Sitka! Maak je klaar voor het avontuur van je leven! Sitka, Alaska heeft een aantal van de mooiste wandelpaden ter wereld. Wij bieden begeleide wandeltochten op deze paden met professionele, lokale gidsen. We wandelen in het Tongass National Forest, door oude groeibomen omringd door steile, torenhoge bergen. Wandelingen zijn inclusief vervoer van en naar locatie naar keuze, trekkingstokken, water, snacks, begeleide wandeling, veiligheidsinformatie en -uitrusting en zonnebrandcrème. Aanbevolen paklijst bevat ademende lagen, waterdichte kleding, stevige wandelschoenen en een dagrugzak. We bieden ook Peaks en Pints tours, waaronder een wandeling gevolgd door een brouwerijbezoek en tour bij Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. Onze tours zijn allemaal kleine groepen, zodat we tegemoet kunnen komen aan uw wandelmogelijkheden en voorkeuren. Wij willen de beste ervaring voor uw groep creëren! Voel je vrij om verzoeken te doen en je Alaska dromen te communiceren, zodat we dit de best mogelijke dag voor je kunnen maken. Deze wandelingen worden geclassificeerd als een matige moeilijkheidsgraad en vereisen stabiele voet op ruw terrein. Wandelpaden zijn goed onderhouden, maar kunnen modderig, rotsachtig en glad zijn.

Wij verzorgen retourvervoer op de locatie van uw keuze. Starttijden zijn flexibel, omdat we werken rond uw aankomsttijd in Sitka en uw gewenste wandeltijd! Zodra u boekt, kunnen we pick-up tijd regelen. Vergaderlocatie bij cruiseterminal: eenmaal van het schip af, gaat u de hoofdhelling op richting de busterminal. Als je bij de trap komt, zoek je rechts naar de groene vlaggen met 'E Bikes'. We zien je voor die vlaggen.

Our guide, Bob, as a long time resident and spouse of an Alaskan native, had a wealth of knowledge and experience to share about not just Sitka, but the state of Alaska and it's history in general. He seemed more concerned that we had a rewarding tour, rather that just finishing the tour "on time" and took whatever time it took to answer our questions or just let us sit and "soak it all in".
The hike was very good! Maggie was a great hiking guide, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Sitka and Alaska! The scenery was beautiful and the hike was well chosen for the abilities of the group. The hiking group was small (6 people) and the trail had very few other people so it was a great experience out in the wilderness of Sitka
Maggie was a terrific guide. She picked us up at our hotel and we went and did the beaver lake hike of about 3 miles. This is a moderate hike it was beautiful. Maggie was informative and educated us about the plants and animals and we ate really tasty berries! We weren’t rushed at all and had a wonderful half day! She even dropped us off at the raptor center on our way back. Do this hike if you’re in Sitka.
We had the absolute best time with Katrina on our hike to beaver lake. They took the time to find out our experience level, interests and needs and tailored the hike to us. It was terrific working with a local who knows all about the area, wildlife and must see places. She picked us up from our VRBO and even the drive to and from the park was great, with opportunities for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this guided hike, it allows you to see parts of Sitka you could not see otherwise.
Great communication from our guide, Laura. Seriously, couldn’t ask for better. She was right on time as we walked off the ship gangway. Very, very knowledgeable about all things Sitka-related and, of course, the Tongass National Forest. She took the time to figure out what type of hike we were looking for and then tailored the hike to our needs/abilities. We had an awesome time on a beautiful trail in the rainforest - yes, it rained lightly - plan on rain :-). Laura taught us about some of the edible berries along the trail (salmon and blue berries - yum). She taught us about various plants and their uses. We saw many picturesque scenes on our two-hour hike. Plenty of chances to stop and take pics. Great conversation during the hike along the creek/small river up to the timber bridge and back. We felt very safe and knew we were in good hands. After the hike, we went to the local brewery for “one on the house” and some food from the local food truck “on us”. The beer and the food were great and the little brewery was a cool scene - a nice mix of locals and tourists. Neat community there! Then we got a behind the scenes tour with Parker - very interesting (with a sample - yay!). All good people and very easy to talk to. As our time with Laura was wrapping up, she asked where we wanted to be dropped off - we requested downtown Sitka to peek into the shops and check out the little town - she showed us where the shuttles were located to get us back to the ship. We had a great time and I would highly recommend it.
This was a beautiful hike and Olga was a fantastic guide! She was knowledgeable and a joy to hike with. The guide hike took the stress out of this experience.
