Geführte Wanderung in Sitka, Alaska

We had the absolute best time with Katrina on our hike to beaver lake. They took the time to find out our experience level, interests and needs and tailored the hike to us. It was terrific working with a local who knows all about the area, wildlife and must see places. She picked us up from our VRBO and even the drive to and from the park was great, with opportunities for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this guided hike, it allows you to see parts of Sitka you could not see otherwise.

Great communication from our guide, Laura. Seriously, couldn’t ask for better. She was right on time as we walked off the ship gangway. Very, very knowledgeable about all things Sitka-related and, of course, the Tongass National Forest. She took the time to figure out what type of hike we were looking for and then tailored the hike to our needs/abilities. We had an awesome time on a beautiful trail in the rainforest - yes, it rained lightly - plan on rain :-). Laura taught us about some of the edible berries along the trail (salmon and blue berries - yum). She taught us about various plants and their uses. We saw many picturesque scenes on our two-hour hike. Plenty of chances to stop and take pics. Great conversation during the hike along the creek/small river up to the timber bridge and back. We felt very safe and knew we were in good hands. After the hike, we went to the local brewery for “one on the house” and some food from the local food truck “on us”. The beer and the food were great and the little brewery was a cool scene - a nice mix of locals and tourists. Neat community there! Then we got a behind the scenes tour with Parker - very interesting (with a sample - yay!). All good people and very easy to talk to. As our time with Laura was wrapping up, she asked where we wanted to be dropped off - we requested downtown Sitka to peek into the shops and check out the little town - she showed us where the shuttles were located to get us back to the ship. We had a great time and I would highly recommend it.

This was a beautiful hike and Olga was a fantastic guide! She was knowledgeable and a joy to hike with. The guide hike took the stress out of this experience.

We really enjoyed our hike with Laura. She was very knowledgeable, gave uslots of information. Definitely recommended hike!

Colton was knowledgeable and easy to be around. The hike was spectacular!! There were some steep steps but we loved it!
