Temple of the Emerald Buddha
The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.

The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.

Katie was absolutely outstanding, and we could not have asked for a better guide for our family in Bangkok. She went above and beyond throughout the entire day and turned what could have been a challenging sightseeing day into one of the highlights of our trip. We were traveling as a family with children and my elderly mother, who walks very slowly with a walker. From the very beginning, Katie was incredibly patient, thoughtful, considerate, and attentive to my mother’s needs. She never made us feel rushed and constantly made sure my mother was comfortable. She helped her throughout the day, adjusted the pace for her, and genuinely treated her with kindness and care. As a family, we really appreciated this. Katie’s English is excellent, and she is extremely easy to communicate with. She explained the places we visited clearly and interestingly without overwhelming us with information. She was also wonderful with our kids and knew how to keep the day enjoyable for everyone, despite the very different ages and needs within our family. One of the best parts of the day was the canal boat tour that Katie recommended. We hadn’t originally planned on doing it, but we are so glad we followed her suggestion. It ended up being one of the highlights of our entire day. Seeing Bangkok from the canals, the local neighborhoods and traditional houses from the water was a completely different experience, and it also gave my mother a nice break from walking. It was an excellent recommendation. What impressed us most was that Katie didn’t simply take us from one attraction to another. She was constantly thinking about what would make the experience better for our particular family. She was flexible, never rushed us, helped whenever we needed it, and clearly cared about making sure everyone had a great day. After spending the entire day with her, we felt like we were sightseeing with someone who genuinely cared about our family rather than simply completing a tour itinerary. If you are visiting Bangkok—especially if you are traveling with children, elderly parents, or a multigenerational family—I highly recommend requesting Katie as your guide. Our Bangkok temples tour was outstanding! Angie was the perfect guide—professional, friendly, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of every temple we visited. It was a very hot day, but thanks to the excellent organization, we were comfortable throughout the tour. The air-conditioned van, refreshing wet towels, handheld fans, and umbrellas made a huge difference. Angie was always making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. She also knew exactly where to stop for the most beautiful photos and gave us plenty of time to appreciate each place without feeling rushed. We really enjoyed our private tour with Preecha to the Grand Palace and surrounding temples. He checked in with us the day before to confirm the dress code and arrived to our hotel early the morning of our tour. He took us through all of our stops very efficiently and took great photos of our family. We went to several different temples and we really enjoyed the pace given how hot it was. Our driver Peter was great too because he was always there to meet us when we needed to drive to another area. Preecha was very informative and we learned a lot! He also gave us the option of taking the canal tour which was not originally part of the tour which was great. We would highly recommend a tour with Preecha!
