- Sanliurfa Archeology and Mosaic Museum Visit to Sanliurfa Archaeological Museum with its unmissable collection of archaeological artefacts stretching from the Neolithic to the times of Crusader Edessa, including many artefacts from Gobekli Tepe, such as ‘Urfa Man’, regarded as the world’s oldest statue. Museum houses a replica of the Enclosure D of Gobekli Tepe, and the cult site, referred to as Nevali Cori, which was submerged by the Ataturk Dam and moved into this museum with its original stones.
- Gobeklitepe Gobekli Tepe - one of the world's most important archaeological sites. Dating back as far as 12,000 years ago, it was built prior records of writing or pottery, and is believed to be the world's oldest ritual complex. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this fascinating site which is causing archaeologists to rethink their vision of early human history.
- BalIklIgol You will visit Abraham’s cave, the birthplace of the prophet Abraham, and the Pool of Prophet Abraham which is believed to be the place where Prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire by Nimrod.
- Sanliurfa The newly excavated tombs of the Kizilkoyun Necropolis dated between 2nd and 4th century AD. Over 61 excavated tombs were formed by carving into the bedrock limestone.
- Sanliurfa Lively bazaar of Urfa is surely not to be missed; you will find stalls selling everything from sheepskins to jeans and colorful local scarves. You can also see some ancient workshops and craftsmen you cannot see in another places.
- Sumatar (Sogmatar) The word Soğmatar comes from the word "Matar" in Arabic that means rain. It is believed that in the region, Prophet Moses escaped from Pharaoh, and engaged in farming here and that one of the well holes was opened by the miraculous scepter of Prophet Moses. In the centre of the town is a hill with remnants of a civilization that dates back to the 2nd century, during this time it was a pagan centre. The hill was an outside sanctuary, originally the seven temples, and each temple on a different hill; the Sun, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. More investigation revealed this was a grave monument and sacred area which is thought to be a representation of Mare-late, the Lord of Gods, with those praying to the centre of the hill similar to modern prayers towards Mecca. In Sogmatar, You will visit Pognon’s Cave, sacred hill, and Mars temple.
- Han El Barur Han el Ba'rur The remains of the Ayyubid dynasty Han el Ba'rur, a caravanserai built in 1228 to service the local trade caravans on the way of the Silk Road.
- Karahantepe Orenyeri Karahantepe is an ancient archaeological site in southeastern Turkiye, near to Gobekli Tepe. Dating back over 11,000 years, it is part of the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period and features T-shaped pillars, human and animal carvings, and elaborate stone strutures.

Absolutely amazing trip. We did not have a lot of time so Taha packed 5 amazing stops into 4 hours including a delicious lunch. He gave us detailed overview along the way, detailed narrative at the sights. Understood exactly what we were looking for. Once in a lifetime trip - worth every $$. Thank you Taha!
Taha the tour operator was very efficient and generous with time. The tour guide Mehmet was very generous with information too. The tour is mind blowing and alters one’s perspective of humanity. Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe may represent an early stage in humanity’s transition from instinct-driven behavior toward increasingly organized society, where advancing architectural knowledge-exemplified by the monumental T-shaped pillars, which may have combined a structural role comparable in principle to modern post-and-beam or I-section construction with a surface for artistic symbolism which was integrated with ritual, the human body, sexuality, and the animal world to give meaning and boundaries to fundamental forces such as reproduction, aggression, life, and death. It leaves one wondering what could have happened and the end of that civilization still a puzzle. This was a super Wow experience!
Göbekli Tours was terrific. The Driver, Mark was awaiting us at the airport despite our flight delay. The vehicle is lovely, clean & comfortable. He was very kind, carrying our bags and immediately offering water He connected us via speakerphone to our guide, Taha, who greeted us warmly and confirmed Tuesday’s pickup for our private tours to Göbeklitepe and Karahantepe Taha speaks perfect English (he went to college in Miami) and is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the archeology and history of the sites, having majored in the disciplines. He’s friendly and so passionate about the subjects that he and other archaeologists visit digs for pleasure when they are not working. It is well worth having a private guide versus a group tour — for the flexibility and freedom from crowds. I highly recommend Göbekli Tours; specifically Mark & Taha and suggest that you include Karahantepe on your visit, as it receives far fewer visitors, offers an intriguing contrast — and you may even get lucky enough (as we were!) to see a fresh dig!!! Mark picked us up on time the next morning from our hotel, and gave us a perfect stress-free ending to our wonderful trip.
Gobeklitepe had been on my bucket list since I was a kid and I finally was able to see the site with the hep of Taha and my guide Mehmet. I couldn't have had a better experience. Besides seeing Gobeklitepe, I was able to see a vast amount of other sites and exceeded my expectation. My only regret is that I didn't book additional days. I hope to visit again one day soon and will use this company.

Wonderful tour seeing so much in two days with Taha and Mehmet. Our driver drove safely and was polite. Taha was with us for the initial pick up at the airport and gave us information about Sanliurfa and the sites we were about to see. He met us again at Gobeklitepe and gave us detailed information about the site. Mehmet was our tour guide through the whole tour for both days. He was funny, kind, and informative. Basically everything we were looking for in a tour guide and more. My son and I learned so much and had a great time. I highly recommend them. Thank you Taha and Mehmet!
