Rosa Bombino is extremely educated and enthusiastic about all things Pompeii. She is very knowledgeable about the architectural features, landscaping and works of art in the city. She creates a fascinating picture of Pompeiian life: she describes the activities of the little shops and businesses, explains the uses of everyday items, talks in depth about the daily workings of the city and, speaks of the social and cultural practices of the residents of the time. It’s an enlightening tour. Without her expertise, we would have missed out on all these wonderful details. It made the the experience so realistic that, while walking through Pompeii, I often felt as though I'd been transported back in time. Rosa was my one of my favourite tour guides of all the many talented guides I'd spent time with on our vacation. I made a point of looking her up after our return to Canada to let her know how much our group enjoyed the journey with her.
