Op de eerste plaats van de tour krijg je voornamelijk verse vis van de Tsukiji-markt en Japanse SAKE van hoge kwaliteit uit heel Japan. Het menu vanaf hier verandert dagelijks, afhankelijk van wat de eigenaar van de vismarkt krijgt. En we kunnen beslissen hoe we deze vissen eten, zoals Sashimi, Nitsuke (stoom met shoyu of miso), gegrild of soep. Als aanvulling op uw gerechten kunt u ook 1 kopje Sake bestellen. Gids zal helpen wat wordt aanbevolen, dus maak je geen zorgen.

De tweede plaats is Japanse Wagyu beef BBQ waar je Wagyu-tong, Wagyu beef loin en verse citroencocktail gaat eten. Soms is Wagyu behoorlijk zwaar en vettig als je ze eet met steak maar hier eet je ze met plakje welke vers geraspte Daikon radijs en verse groene ui bevat.

Ginza Corridor Street
De laatste plaats heet "Obanzai". Wat een thuiskookmethode is die oorspronkelijk uit Kyoto komt tijdens de jaren 70-80 en verwijst naar alledaagse bijgerechten. Het wordt gekenmerkt door eenvoudige kruiden die gebruik maakt van de smaak van de ingrediënten zoals kruiden, gekookt voedsel en gefrituurde bitashi . Er zijn "Okami-san" ; Meester dame chef-kok in Kimono altijd verwelkomen u als hun kind, zodat u het gevoel alsof je gewoon terug naar uw huis waar je opgroeit komen. Dus noemen we haar altijd "mama".

Yurakucho Sanchoku Yokocho
Voordat we de tour beëindigen stoppen we bij een gat in een muur . Er zijn zeer verborgen, maar nog steeds zo spannend Izakaya steegje onder de treinrails waar 24 uur per dag geopend is. U kunt blijven en genieten van extra momenten van de dag na de tour als je wilt !!

He is incredibly generous with his knowledge and advice. Beyond the tour itself, he shares a lot of practical tips about Japan, food culture, and how to enjoy the country properly. Some of the advice he gave me back then is still something I use every time I travel to Japan, which says a lot. The tour itself is very well designed: great izakayas, well chosen locations, and a very pleasant pace. Ryo pays real attention to group dynamics, making sure everyone feels comfortable and included. If you are a foodie and you miss this tour with Rio, you will miss one of the best food experiences of your life. We dined on a variety of authentic Japanese foods, sake and beer as Rio took us to the hidden gems of of Tokyo. We plan to take this tour again during our next visit.
This is an experience that should be enjoyed by all Foodies. Our guide Ryo hand selected each location for the delicacies that they served & their history. You are not just taken to a restaurant & fed, you are guided there with a history lesson & a story of the owners & their dreams. Ryo gave us our 1st lesson in the proper way to eat Sushi to maximize its flavor & pair it with Saki, at Tsukiji Mottainai Project Uoharu. The Nigiri was served as Art & each bite exquisite. Our next stop was Osaka Yakiniku for organ meat cooked table side Hibachi. Ryo knowledge of how to eat each piece & when to enhance with which sauce, took each slice to a higher level. We finished our evening at Ginza Karin. The young female Proprietor has created a little gem, hand selecting all products served & always on a search for unique Saki’s to pair with it. Every dish is created fresh daily with an ever moving menu. She will be a force to be reckoned with in the food industry for years to come. None of our experience would have happened without the research, knowledge & passion put in by our guide Ryo. He is greeted with respect by each owner who appreciate his passion for food & care he gives his clients. We had the best food experience of our lives last night & will be forever grateful that Ryo was our guide.
