Taster Bodyboard Lesson in Newquay, Cornwall

I spoke with a great guy on the phone when I rang to ask about a bodyboard lesson. I explained I had recently lost my husband and I was treated with the utmost compassion & kindness. I booked & paid over the phone for my sister in law & myself for a taster lesson. We were met at the centre by our instructor James, who provided wetsuits, fins & bodyboards. We were shown to the changing room which was clean & after storing our valuables in the lock box, we headed down to the surf. James explained about safety in the water and how to protect your head if a collision with another surfer or surfboard was imminent. Thankfully we didn't need to test that one! We were shown hand signals by James that instructed us on what he needed us to do, when we were in the water. James was a very professional instructor. Very knowledgeable. Funny, warm and obviously an expert in the water. He was approachable, positive encouraging and very patient. I cannot thank him enough for making our taster lesson such fun. I can highly recommend this centre, the staff and especially James our instructor and yes I will be booking again with Newquay Activity Centre. Excellent, 5*. The whole experience was enjoyable.

Booked a group lesson but as I was the only participant I had a one to one lesson. My instructor Jake, sorry if I got your name wrong, was great.

My 15 year old daughter had a private bodyboarding lesson. The lady instructor was simply fantastic. She was super helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only did my daughter’s bodyboarding skills improve, her knowledge of the sea and the tides, and safety around the sea did too. We will definitely return for another private lesson. Thank you!!
