Une fois que votre tuk-tuk est venu vous chercher directement à votre hôtel de Bangkok à 19h00, vous serez conduit à un point de rendez-vous où votre sympathique guide gastronomique anglophone vous accueillera. C'est le premier arrêt alimentaire de la visite. C'est un salon de nouilles de poulet en plein air qui occupe une partie d'une ruelle étroite. La nuit, les flammes élevées et l'huile de chili extrêmement chaude produisent une saveur et un arôme fumé ainsi qu'une belle présentation de la culture alimentaire de la Thaïlande. C'est un petit stand détenu et géré par une famille thaïlandaise locale. Exemple de menu: Suan Mali Nouilles de poulet, leur plat signature!

Notre prochain paradis de la cuisine de rue est le vibrant marché nocturne Ban That Thong, connu pour son atmosphère détendue et sa délicieuse cuisine de rue. Cette rue est passée d'un quartier négligé vendant des pièces automobiles à un havre de paix animé. I’ve always had a great experience with all the tours I booked through Viator. This is no exception. Fortunately for us it was the rainy and slow season. We also booked on a Monday night rather than the weekend. As a result we wound up having a private tour with Bo. She is an excellent tour guide, and she could pass for a native English speaker, even throwing out some unexpected cliche phrases. We were fortunate that the rain held off being the middle of the rainy season, as we were whisked from place to place in our tuk tuk. Our first stop was a sketchy back alley Michelin Guide spot - a family run business. For good reason it was the best dish of the night. The unique dish featured noodles that were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Perfection in a bowl. The second eatery was tucked away down a side street in China Town. All the dishes were delicious and featured something different. Bo grabbed a couple of mangosteens and rambutans along the way, and showed us how to open and eat them properly. The last major stop was another family establishment on the outskirts of China Town that featured a fried chicken dish. Once again all delicious. Lastly, we wandered the streets in search of dessert. The eggs cakes were our favorite little sweet treat to finish things off, but that wasn’t the end of it. Event though we were stuffed, Bo insisted we try these small octopus bites. I’m not sure I’d consider them a dessert, but we tried them anyway. We didn’t want anything less than the full Thai experience. To each his own. Overall a great and memorable experience. There’s no better way to do it than with a local like Bo.

We had a fantastic experience with our guide Smiley. She was so helpful and fun, the food was amazing throughout the trip. We couldn’t have possible got around to so many diverse places on our own, so the trip was a perfect way to experience the food and neighbourhoods of Bangkok. 5 stars!🌟

Tae guided us - he speaks great English, he's fun and he's very friendly and checks in with what you like to ensure you'll enjoy the most of Thai food in Bangkok. He loves to help and answer questions about Thailand and Thai culture in general. Going point to point by tuk tuk is quite special and a fun experience, would highly recommend. We went during the off season and service at the restaurants was generally very fast. The tour went for right around 3 hours and the sheer amount of food supplied as part of this tour will ensure you go to bed feeling more full than you expected.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Tae. He took us around the various neighborhoods of the city and showed us all of the popular spots for street food & local cuisine. Tae is very informative and explained a lot about the local food scene. Great time! Thanks Tae!
We had a Street Food tour with tuk tuk booked for 7pm. As Bangkok is such a massive city, the tuk tuk was a great way to get around the different places we visited. There was only one other couple of the tour. They were from Sweden and we got on well and the tour guide (Tae) was excellent. After the trip Tae sent on photos he took and some recommendations of things to do in the city. We started down some small back alley at a street kitchen with a Michelin star and ended up in hectic Chinatown. There was loads of food and we enjoyed it all. We were dropped back at hotel around 11pm. A great first full day in Bangkok.
