Bowness-on-Windermere
Drive through Bowness and stopping at Adelaide hill viewpoint, Gummers how and the viewpoint near Brantfell. All of which are excellent photo opportunities.

We take a brief stop at Waterhead in Ambleside situated at the head of Lake Windermere.

Great Langdale
The great Langdale valley is some 12,170 acres, much of it in the care of the National trust, who have 10 farms here. Elterwater and Chapelstile are two beautiful villages you will see here.

We take the spectacular drive from Great Langdale to Little Langdale to visit Blea Tarn, probably the highlight of the valley for many.

David was an exceptional guide. Our six hours with him flew by. He took us to all of the major sites in the Lake District and a number rarely seen by tourists. And there were surprises along the way - - such as the unexpected ferry ride to Bowness. He was very friendly and affable and matched our pace. Most importantly, he was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much. If we ever return to the Lake District, I would hire him again without hesitation. We ended the day feeling like we were old friends.
We were a group of 4 (my 2 daughters - ages 3 and 11, and my mum who has mobility issues) and we booked a 6 hour private tour with David, he was simply fantastic! He was so kind and considerate, and took such wonderful care of my mum. He had vast knowledge of the Lake District and was very experienced in making on the spot changes to our tour to accommodate all our needs and requests. He showed us the most beautiful side of the Lake District and there wasn’t a dull moment with him. He truly made our tour such a memorable one. Will definitely be returning soon and will reach out to him again. Can’t wait to hear more from him about this lovely place.

He told us about the history of the different places we visited, took us to some special unexpected sites, and also a couple of sites we specifically asked about. We found him to be an excellent tour guide and can not speak highly enough of the tour and David's coordination of it. He added extra little touches from his own research, such as old photos of some of the sites, so it gave more context and made the history come alive.

David was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable about the area and history. He has supplemental photos and information that add depth to the tour information, giving us a very unique picture of the development of the Lake District. It's a full 6 hour itinerary, so have your camera and snacks ready!
David, our driver and as well as being our tour guide, was excellent at his job. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny guy. You can tell he enjoys his job as he does it from his heart. Families as well as small groups will enjoy his company as he knows very well how to communicate with different people. We very much enjoyed this tour.
