This was a wonderful tour! Anna did such a nice job curating a delicious selection of pastries and narrating the culinary history of Lyon. Even though we were late for the tour due to a snafu at the airport, she made accommodations and caught us up so we didn't miss the fun, and we appreciated her flexibility. This tour is a great way to see the city, enjoy some culinary treasures, and learn about some of the gastronomic highlights from a passionate guide. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time with Anna on this pastry tour after having taken previous visitors to Lyon on her Old Town tour. She’s knowledgeable and has lots of great stories, and the places she included always have the most delicious food. Would definitely recommend if you love sweet things and want to learn about Lyon’s food history as well.
Let me start by saying one should never turn down a pastry tour. Now, Anna's pastry tour goes well above the level of "Well, it's pastry, so, OK, sure, let's do it." Anna gives you a bit of history, a bit of local culture, and a lot of pastry. Do *not*, as we did, have a previously-made dinner reservation shortly after said tour (I know. An own goal if ever there were one.) Also, Anna is a terrific guide. Knowledgeable, personable, and a lot of fun to talk to. If you're going to Lyon, put Anna's tour on your list!
Like many Americans, my knowledge of France beyond Paris is, to say the least, lacking. Anna did a phenomenal job showing us a wide variety of Lyon pastries and treats, showing us some of the best and most delicious spots in the city. During the walks between pastry shops, she gave us a history of the city and showed us some of the "traboules" (secret passageways) hidden in plain sight. The pain au chocolat and eclairs I had were delicious which is only notable to me because in the US, I generally don't get those pastries as they are atrocious on this side of the Atlantic. If you are looking for 3 relaxing hours of fun and deliciousness, you've come to the right place.
Anna was an excellent tour guide and every pastry we tried was delectable! This tour has it all — you get to try delicious Lyonnaise specialties, learn about the history of the city and its bakers, and tour Old Town and Presqu’île. Anna is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and I hope to try her other food tour when I’m back in Lyon :)
We had an excellent experience as a family of 6! we had 3 small children who shared our food with us. You will have leftovers! We loved how thoughtful each part of the pastry tour was with consideration for the stroller. Anna was sure to include lots of history of Lyon, which we appreciated. We had a private tour.

She didn't just take me to the best local boulangeries and pâtisseries; she also shared the fascinating stories behind every single treat we tasted. The pace was perfect, the tastings were generous, and Anna's passion made the experience truly special. Highly recommended!
