The prettiest and most popular town is located on the northern part of the island, famous for the traditional cave houses built on the cliffs, the Venetian castle and the breathtaking sunset. We will stroll through the village to the famous view point of the blue domed churches and give you the opportunity to take memorable pictures. After taking your postcard there you can have a cool drink admiring the cliff side view.

It’s the highest spot of the island. From its top – at about 2000 feet (600 m) – you will enjoy the panoramic view over entire island and the Aegean sea. The Monastery was built in the 18th century and has an important collection of icons and artefacts of the Greek Orthodox religion.

We had an amazing tour with Giannis. Our group was three couples and he picked us up from our resort in Oia and showed us several picturesque spots throughout Santorini and taught us a ton about the island, region and history. We also toured the castle in Pyrgos (amazing views and history), had a wine tasting in Megalochori, and caught a beautiful sunset on the drive home. 100% recommend this tour and asking for Giannis specifically - he is super knowledgeable, friendly, and very adaptable to what the group wants to see and do.
We did a wine tour with Giannis and it was the best day! He was extremely knowledgeable about every detail and fact and was so attentive to our group. We enjoyed our time with him SO much; we booked him for the next day for a tour of Oia and a traditional village. He completely blew us away!! He knew all the special spots for photos of the blue domes and was patient while we took photos or sat down for a snack. Book him for the most amazing tour during your time on Santorini

We made this trip on 7 May 2026. A group of 4 friends. Marios was our chauffeur and guide. He was very knowledgeable and added a lot of humour and stories to the places he took us. Also accommodating to our requests, took us to the secret gems in Oia, bet the queues to allow fantastic pictures, helped us to experience the wild beauty in the red beaches, the authentic Santorini in village of Megalochoria, enjoy the sunset at the lighthouse in Aktratori. Will highly recommend him to anyone who is keen to explore Santorini with varying interests.
The experience was outstanding! The whole transfer was amazing and the staff was so polite and accurate! Especially Michael-Angelos was a perfect driver, so kind, helpful and well informed about the roads and the history of the island to the point where everything went down smoothly!
