Anfiteatro de Italica
Itálica Amphitheatre is one of the most well-preserved and significant Roman amphitheaters in Spain. It was built in the 1st century AD and could hold up to 25,000 spectators. It featured various levels, an arena, and a system of underground tunnels and rooms for gladiators, animals, and stage equipment. Perhaps the most famous use of the Itálica Amphitheatre in modern times was as a filming location for the popular TV series "Game of Thrones." It served as the Dragonpit, a crucial location in the series' seventh season. The amphitheater's well-preserved structure and grand architecture provided an atmospheric and visually striking backdrop for the pivotal scenes in "Game of Thrones." The historic setting added to the sense of grandeur and importance of the scenes filmed there. Jorge brought the ruins to life! He was very informative, personable, and portrayed Emporer Hadrian beautifully! My husband is a retired History teacher and was impressed also! Sure, the public can explore the ruins, and read the signs, but he offered more in-depth information. The tortilla after the tour was delicious (we were not familiar with the dish-thinking of a flat, flour tortilla) and we enjoyed speaking with him. The pick-up and drop offs were so helpful! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Don't hesitate to reserve this tour.
Our group included three adults and one six-year-old, and “Hadrian” led us on an unforgettable journey through history. He stayed fully in character the entire time, which made the experience even more immersive. Out of all the private tours we took in Seville, this was by far our favorite. The guide was not only a talented actor but also impressively knowledgeable about the era.
The Roman Emperor was very knowledgeable about his town. Funny, engaging, with stories from the time. I highly recommend this tour!
This was a wonderful tour! We were picked up within a few minutes’ walk of our cruise ship and driven to Italica, where Jorge, ie Caesar, was waiting for us. The tour was entertaining, humorous, and informative. We were treated to a delightful Spanish lunch following the tour. I highly recommend!

Jumping on the 'Unveil the Ancient World' tour was like stepping into a time machine of awesomeness! The pick-up was spot-on, and Emperor Hadrian, played by an absolute legend, had us in splits with his quirky history lessons. The costumes and Roman ruins were like being in a blockbuster movie, only better. Our guide, Jorge, was a rockstar – super cool and knew how to make history not feel like a snoozefest. After all the time-traveling, we stuffed our faces with a killer Spanish meal that was the cherry on top. Everything ran like clockwork, and I can't recommend this tour enough. Whether you're a history buff or just up for a good time, this is the trip for you. Italica won't know what hit it!
