From Verona: Madonna della Corona Shrine Day Trip

I highly recommend this 5 hour day trip. Allesandro was our guide. You won't fine a better tour guide. His manner and local knowledge werre exceptional. He knew exactly where to take us to show us Madonna della Corona from a distance before taking to and through the church. Yuo don't have to be religious to appreciate this fabulous church. I would happily do this tour again and recommend it to anyone reading this review.

It is well worth the time! Guide was very knowledgeable, kept everything on schedule, went the extra mile to show a few spots not normally on the tour, and the history/views were amazing. For those wondering about the food, we went to a restaurant in the small town and had a 3 course meal, very Italian like. Overall 5/5 experience.

The tour was worth every penny, and the Santuario Madonna della Corona is definitely worth visiting. The location itself is spectacular, built into the mountainside, and it’s one of those places that is even more impressive in person than in photos. There were only three of us in our group, but our host was great and had so much to tell us, not just about the Santuario but also about Verona and the surrounding region. Having that extra background definitely added to the experience rather than simply visiting the site on our own. The food afterwards was also very good and was a lovely way to finish the tour. It was also nice to spend some time with other people who had travelled to visit the Santuario, all for their own reasons, which made the experience feel that little bit more special. We didn’t catch the name of the third traveller in our group, but if she sees this, we hope you enjoy your trekking around Croatia and eventually make your way over to the UK to experience some of our hikes! We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Verona area who wants to see something a little different from the usual sights.
