Overview
Live a 3-hour experience on the Parma hills (in Valmozzola) and become a truffle hunter for a day, guided by Flavia and her two truffle dogs.
At the end of the hunt an amazing truffle lunch (or dinner) prepared by Mamma Laura will wait for you, so that you'll also join a Truffle Food Tour (vegetarian and vegan options are also available).
As you arrive you will be welcomed by our truffle dogs Trilli, Maya and Ludo, hard workers and also part of our family!
We'll start the hunting from our truffle farm and continue into the surrounding woods. Immersed in the nature of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines (we are 1 hour drive from the amazing Parma Food Valley, 1 hour drive from La Spezia/Cinque Terre and 1:30 drive from Milan), our dogs will lead you to the truffles, which you'll dig out with your own hands.
Depending on the season, we can find black summer truffles or fall truffles. The truffle hunting can last between an hour and an hour and a half (it will depend on how much we manage to find!) and will end with a lunch (or dinner) depending on the start time. You'll taste our truffles (the very fresh ones you'll find with the dogs) and our homemade truffle products, all freshly cooked by "chef" Laura :)
It will be a one in a lifetime and unforgettable experience with locals, we promise! :)

It's also possible to arrange a pickup service from the railway station Solignano or Berceto upon request for max. 4 people. For more than 4 people please contact us. You need to take a train to Solignano (if you are travelling, for example, from Parma/Modena/Bologna central station) or to Berceto (if you are travelling from La Spezia or Cinque Terre). You can check train timetable from Parma to Solignano or Berceto.
Pickup service is also possible from Parma City Centre at an extra cost.

Meeting & pickup
Hotel pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point.
We are located in Valmozzola (Parma). If you don't have a car, you can reach the activity by train from Parma station to Solignano station, where we will pick you up for an additional €50 return (a 30-minute train ride from Parma station). Alternatively, a pickup service from your hotel in Parma is also available for an additional €130 one-way. The return journey is also possible by train; we'll organize everything for you; just contact us in advance.

This was such a wonderful experience with Flavia, her dogs and her mom. I cannot recommend this excursion enough.The countryside was so beautiful as well. We spent 1.5hr in the forest and found almost 100g of truffles. Then Flavia’s mom made the most delicious dinner and every dish had truffles. This is a 10 star experience!
Our family had an absolutely amazing experience on this truffle hunting excursion! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Our hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, taking the time to answer any and all questions we had about the property, truffles, and the region in general. They were also great with the kids, engaging with them and really getting them involved in the experience. Watching the dogs work was fascinating, and the excitement of uncovering truffles in the beautiful Italian countryside made for such a unique and memorable adventure. It was an experience that both the adults and our children thoroughly enjoyed. The meal after the hunt was beyond-words delicious -- each dish featuring truffle (including an incredible unique dessert). The scenery was breathtaking, and the entire excursion felt authentic, personal, and deeply connected to the region’s culture. If you are visiting this part of Italy, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It was one of the highlights of our trip and created memories our family will treasure for years to come. The best of the best truffle hunting experience. We love everything here, the knowledge, the area, the hunting experience, the pups, the food, and the most important: the lovely hospitality from Flavia and her kind mother. They’re very much considerate and ensure our trip to and from the town was seamless. I can say this is more than a truffle hunting tour operator but it’s like visiting a lovely family that welcome you to their lovely compound. Thank you again!
Had the most INCREDIBLE truffle hunting tour with Flavia and her two adorable Lagotto Romagnolo dogs. The property is beautiful, Flavia is so knowledgable, and the lunch that her mother cooked for us after our hunt was one of the best on our trip. This was maybe our favorite part of our whole trip, a seriously unforgettable and one in a lifetime experience.

From the moment Flavia picked us up from the train station, to the truffle hunt itself, to the classroom session on truffles she taught, to the five star lunch, this place is a must and the highlight of our trip to Italy. It was a really really nice experience. It was more than just the truffle hunt itself, it was explained how the truffle grows, how they started and how to harvest. You will learn a lot about the different truffle varieties and their differences. You will go truffle hunting with the dogs and Flavia - don‘t forget your hiking shoes ;) The food that is served is really really good. Amazing quality and home made food. They definitely know how to make food with truffles without letting the truffle overpower the whole dish. Flavia and Mama Laura were so nice and friendly. We had a great time and we felt welcome from the very first moment. We were treated like family, which made the experience even better. Overall an experience, that you should not miss! Would rate it a solid 10/10 and will definitely be back another time.
If you have no family in Italy, this is a close second. Flavia and her mother are very welcoming to their charming home in the mountainside. It was an authentic experience and a great escape from the busy touristy cities. Maya and Trilly were the stars - following them through the woods as they played around and worked hard. Despite it being early in the season we found a couple on our search. Lunch was a wonderful experience, home cooked with endless truffles in each creative dish. We especially enjoyed our dessert and our conversations with the hosts. Highly recommend building this into your itinerary!
