In this tour we will cross the boarder and visit the French Basque Country.
First stop we will visit Bayonne, a charming small city full of historic buildings and a lovely quaint downtown with the impressive UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998.
Second stop it will be Biarritz, One of the most posh beach resorts of the Basque Coast. It is a luxurious seaside town and is popular with tourists and surfers.
And the Third stop is St-Jean-de-Luz, Former Basque Corsairs’ capital, this small fishing village became rich in the 16th century from fishing and whaling. colorful houses long beach and a lot of history.
Driving time it will be 1 hour to go and another hour to come back

Mateo of Azul Tours was a wonderful tour guide who was prompt in picking my wife and I up from our hotel for a tour of the French Coast in Frances' Basque Country. We were visiting San Sebastian Spain. The tour was from 9am to 5pm. Mateo showed up shortly before 9am and led us on a tour of Bayonne, Biarritz and St.Jean de Luz. Bayonne is a charming historical village and Mateo was well versed in its history. We went to a church built in the 12th century. Had a pastry and coffee at a nearby cafe and bought chocolate from one of the chocolate shops. Being in Bayonne was like going back in time to when the world was not in such a rush. Biarritz is a beautiful coastal town with dramatic and beautiful views of the sea. We had a delicious lunch at one if the restaurants Mateo recommended and it was probably the most beautiful scenic backdrop for any meal we've ever had. St.Jean de Luz is a quaint village situated right on the water and about as charming as a place can get. Once again Mateo's knowledge of the history of the town was very impressive and makes the tour a more immersive experience. We headed back to San Sebastian feeling very relaxed and looking back at the day with fond memories and a smile on our faces. I highly recommend the tour and even more highly recommend Mateo as a tour guide.

A perfect tour from beginning to end! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible, making the whole experience enjoyable and personalized. We had a very pleasant drive to Bayonne, Biarritz and Saint Jean de Liz with a very informative tour with Mateo. Plenty to see in beautiful towns and the surrounding area. We enjoyed our dat and would recommend this excursion.
The tour to the French Basque Country was amazing. Martin is an excellent guide, and our tour was amongst the best we did during our visit to the region. He is knowledgeable, and was very flexible with us as we lingered in some places longer than expected and provided an overall great experience for us. Both of us fell in love with Bayonne. He chose a lovely restaurant for our Biarritz visit and included a quick stop in Bidart en route home via Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Would highly recommend.
