Ponza, boat trip on board the Zannone 1954

We had an amazing day on Claudio Romano’s Zannone 1954 boat! Because Claudio grew up in Ponza, he knew all of the best places to see on Ponza. We made multiple stops and all of them were fantastic. He also shared the history, geography, and his own personal experiences with us. It was a most memorable day on his special boat. We experienced firsthand why Claudio consistently receives five star reviews. For anyone visiting Ponza, a day on Zannone 1954 is a must.

Claudio was an AMAZING guide for the day. Very knowledgeable about ponza island since he grew up there and is 4th generation owning his beautiful boat. My husband and I were visiting Ponza for our "baby-moon" (a celebratory trip before I have our baby in Feb) and the boat trip with Claudio was perfect for swimming and seeing the beautiful coast of Ponza while relaxing in the shade under the canopy. One of the many highlights of the day was swimming through natural caves! The water was soo beautiful everywhere. Claudio also went out of his way to book us a lunch reservation at a beautiful sea side restaurant, and TWO dinner reservations for the last two days of our trip. We would highly recommend spending your day with Claudio. You would be lucky to ride on the Zannone for the day!!

We just spent 2 incredible days with Claudio on the Zannone 1954 and I cannot recommend it enough! It was our family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters. Claudio showed us Palmorola the first day and Ponza the second. I am so glad we added a second day so we could fully experience both islands. He is the most generous host and provided us with snacks and drinks. He swam with us through many caves, told us all of the history and fun facts about the islands, took us to beautiful beaches and fun places for my kids to jump off of rocks. The boat is pristine and beautiful and people commented on it everywhere we stopped. I cannot imagine visiting Ponza and missing this experience. Book it now!!

Absolutely amazing cruise with Claudio. This boat was meticulously cared for and hearing about the history of it made the trip even more special. Many of the great swimming spots on Ponza are only accessible by boat and he knwos where to go. Claudio was waiting for us at the dock and adjusted the pick up spot to where we were staying making it a breeze to embark on our half day adventure. We were a party of 5 and had plenty of room to layout. The custom covered canopy was nice to stay out of the sun if we wanted some shade. He had coolers available with ice. Claudio could not have been nicer allowing us to stay at each stop as long as we wanted, offering fun facts about living on the island, and even helped make dinner reservations for one of our best meals there. His boat trip was the highlight of our trip to Ponza...I would highly recommend.

Our trip with Claudio was, without a doubt, one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had. His knowledge of the island was exceptional, and the care he took to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment throughout the day was truly outstanding. We can’t wait to visit him again and couldn’t recommend this experience more highly.
