What you'll do

Part 1: Visit & Walking tour in a Traditional Organic Olive grove (available all year round) Walk through the perennial olive trees and experience a relaxing stroll through a traditional organic olive grove located just 10' away from Kalamata. Get acquainted with different varieties of olive trees in all shapes and of all ages and learn the long history of the olive tree. Part 2: Visit at a certified Olive oil Mill (available ONLY in the mornings, Sundays closed) Then, very close to the Olive grove, you will make a visit at a certified, open to the public Olive oil mill where you will learn all about the extraction process, from the olive grove to bottling. Part 3: Olive Oil tasting experience After the Olive oil mill, we will head to the historic center, in one of the oldest Olive oil shops of the city. Our professional, certified olive oil expert, will reveal you all about Greek olive-oil varieties, like Koroneiki, their distinctive key aromas, tastes, characteristics, health benefits and learn to pair them with your favourite food! The whole experience ENDS AT THE OLIVE OIL SHOP AND NOT AT THE MEETING POINT! Ignore Viator's note that the experience ends at the meeting point!

• The Olive oil tour & tasting experience is provided upon request and depending on availability. In case there is no availability for the day you are interested, the experience can be offered the next available date or choose another similar available experience after coordination.
• Transportation is needed to visit the traditional organic olive grove and the olive oil mill which is located 10' away from Kalamata city centre and from the meeting point. Please inform us if you have your own vehicle. In other case, we can arrange it with our partners at an extra cost.
• Availability of the traditional Organic olive grove and the Olive oil tasting experience: All year round, Monday – Sunday either in the mornings or in the afternoons.
• Availability & visit at the Olive oil mill: Only in the mornings, Sundays closed.
• The Olive oil tour experience is also offered in the afternoons at 17:30 p.m.
• Holy Friday - Easter Tuesday & Greek official holidays are excluded.
