This brand-new unique experience offers a personal insider view of Liverpool from the point of view of a music icon leading the tour. The tour is led by either Pete Hooton (lead singer) or Keith Mullin (guitarist) of the 90s band The Farm. You will discover little-known secrets of the city and learn about their personal musical journey to fame.
You will get a guided tour of sites linked to their personal and musical journeys in central Liverpool. Gain unique insights not available anywhere else. Experience a personally curated tour of sites in central Liverpool. The tour will visit sites, not on the usual tourist trail and showcase Brian's story of being part of a global music phenomenon in the 1980s. Discover little-known places not normally visited on the tourist trail and hear stories not available anywhere else. You will see gig venues, recording studios, pubs, hangouts, and more on this easy slow-paced walk. See the biggest studio complex outside London and the first UK Superclub that changed the face of dance music in the UK. You’ll also see the location of Probe Records home of the second wave of Liverpool groups in the 1970s/1980s/1990s. Visit to the Ministry Rehearsal Rooms and Crash rehearsal rooms where many bands including Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Farm, The La’s, Space, Cast, Flock of Seagulls, China Crisis, The Zutons, The Lighning Seeds, The Wombats and Shack all rehearsed.

Peter is a great story teller and his knowledge, experience and engaging personality make this tour of Liverpool's musical history a must-do for anyone planning to visit the city. The pub visit at the end was a unique opportunity to chat with Peter and the other music fans on the tour. Can't recommend this highly enough.
What a fantastic afternoon with Peter Hooton (lead singer of the Farm) learning about Liverpool's Musical history, From the Beatles to the site of Cream nightclub. Brought to life with some amazing stories and insider info. To top it all off Peter came for a pint at the end of the tour where we heard some more awesome stories and had such a good laugh. If you like music and want to learn about Liverpools history and those who helped make it happen then get yourself on this tour.
Pete is a lovely bloke with a genuine passion for music and for Liverpool. He gave us a fascinating insight into the musical history of this great city and joined us for a pint afterwards where he shared more of his fantastic anecdotes. Great experience and highly recommended. Been waiting for the chance to join the tour and then it came as a surprise gift. A really enjoyable afternoon, expertly led by Peter and in the company of a like-minded bunch interested to hear stories and history of the city, its music and its people from across many years. Well-paced, nicely balanced on the detail, and always easy enough to ask more questions if anyone needed. Even with an active interest and knowledge of the city, there was plenty of nuggets of detail and context, supported by anecdotes and insights about the characters involved, which made it for a highly entertaining trip. Throw in a sociable chat over a pint in an excellent pub to round off the tour, and the day was done. Cheers!
Fantastic way to spend a day in Liverpool and learning about all the different bands and different music that's been in Liverpool. Peter took time for everyone's questions and has loads of stories of all the various locations visited. If you are a music fan or interested in different bands not just bands from Liverpool then there's a very good chance your favourite band has played Liverpool in one of the many locations visited on this tour. Peter was a class guy very down to earth and spoke with everyone. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day out in Liverpool.
