Fayoum Oasis
Location: About 90 kilometers (about 2 hours) southwest of Cairo. It’s not a desert oasis fed by underground water like Siwa. Fayoum is connected to the Nile River via the Bahr Yussef canal, making it Egypt's largest cultivated oasis.

Wadi El-Hitan (Valley of the Whales) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Egypt’s Western Desert. It’s famous for 40-million-year-old whale fossils that show how whales evolved from land animals to sea creatures. Wadi El-Rayan
Wadi El-Rayan is a beautiful natural reserve in the Fayoum Desert, southwest of Cairo. It’s known for its two man-made lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, vast sand dunes, and Magic Lake, which changes color with the sunlight. The area also has natural sulfur springs and is home to rare wildlife like the slender-horned gazelle. It’s a favorite spot for sandboarding, swimming, camping, and eco-tourism.

A must to see ! Our guide Ibrahim was amazing. Everything was organised very well. From the moment of booking, pick up spot, drive from Cairo, change to 4x4 for our adventure in the desert. We have booked before with Ibrahim and this tour was amazing as well.
We had a wonderful day on this desert safari and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Sandboarding was great fun, but the highlight for me was definitely the Valley of the Whales and its excellent museum. The vast desert landscape itself was absolutely impressive, and visiting the village afterwards added another memorable aspect to the day. Our guide was very friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.
What a great tour! It started with driving to El Fayoum. Then switching to a 4X4 vehicle to speed thru the desert. Going off road up, down and around sand dunes..thrilling and a bit frightening. The valley of the Whales is fantastic. There is a museum and then you can see whale fossils in place. Then you go to the magic lake and the waterfalls. The lunch was fantastic. We had grilled fish. Our guide, Ahmed was fantastic. He is an excellent photographer. He pointed out the best views
