Guray, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, interesting and awesome! We did a private full day tour and he showed us all the spots with passion and insight. Fantastic experience, Guray (the guide) met us at the hotel at the arranged time and we took the tour with a group of 3 couples. The vehicle was modern, clean and comfortable. Guray was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and made the tour fun and interesting. I highly recommend this tour if you visit Cappadocia.
We did the green tour which included, goreme. panorama view pigeon valley, a gem factory then followed by the main "gems" of the tour. 1-The lIhara valley and its historic churches (9th-11th century). We had a 4 Km hike in the valley with its own micro-climote. More amazing is the history that suffuses the whole area and chronicles early eastern Christianity. 2-The Selime Cathedrol with its military garrison. 3-Kaymakli underground city. An ancient feat of engineering and resourcefulness nd siege survival. 8 floors of underground carved facilities. Throughout the tour our guide Güray was very engaging and provided the relevant context and history for all sites visited with great detail. Spending the day with him made the experience all the more worthwhile.
