Översikt
Bears are regularly viewed in the late summer early fall, and occasionally viewed in the spring.
As I have had a long career commercial fishing in Southeast Alaska, I give unique insight into the local fishing industry. Both my crew and I will also enlighten you on local history and life in Sitka.
To ensure your experience is genuine, my crew is always either one of my family, or a local hire that truly knows Sitka. We live it year round!!

Sitka
Kryssa över vattnet i vackra Sitka Sound och den yttre kustlinjen av Baranof Island och titta på sjölejon, havsuttrar, knubbsälar, knölvalar, möjligen späckhuggare, skalliga örnar och ett stort utbud av sjöfåglar. Många gånger allt på en tur.

Absolutely, hands down the best tour I’ve taken in Alaska over multiple trips. Captain Gary knew all the best places to see wildlife and made sure we were perfectly positioned in the water to see it all - and from super close. Sophia had so much information to share and she spoke with so much affection for her hometown - her appreciation and passion for this amazingly unique place on the planet shone through. We’ve taken tours all over the world and this one was one of the very best. If you’re in Sitka, you’ll not regret spending a few hours taking this tour.
This was a wonderful excursion. We viewed many whale, sea lions, sea otters and then some bear. The captain and crew shared good information and we enjoyed some warm drinks and snacks along the way.
We had a group of 10 friends. Our previous tour operator had engine problems and suggested Sea Piper. Our guides were great and the boat was very clean. Operator had snacks and drinks onboard for us to help ourselves to. We spent 4 hours and saw bears, whales, sea otters, and seals. Greatest experience of our time in Alaska. We felt it was a great value and would definitely recommend them again.
What a wonderful experience. It was the highlight of my time in Alaska. We saw sea lions, sea otters, whales and a bear with its cub. Matt was very friendly and happy to help. The boat was comfortable and plenty of space to relax and take amazing photos. I strongly recommend this tour.
This was an awesome experience. Mike and Gaby were very knowledgeable and mapped out a wonderful adventure for us. Saw bears, whales, sea otters and sea lions in comfort. Great info re salmon industry. Great value.
This was a great experience. Matt and his daughter were great. We saw a bear feeding salmon to two cubs, at least 10 humpback whales, sea otters, harbor seals and eagles. Matt knew exactly where to go so we could see the wildlife and he was so knowledgeable
This was hands down one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. Matt and Gaby were absolute gems—so incredibly knowledgeable and just really fun, down-to-earth people. They showed us a ton of Alaskan wildlife and shared some awesome stories about the local fishing industry and the animals. We saw everything we were promised and then some! If you’re heading to Sitka, Alaska, you seriously have to book this tour. They even looked after us with snacks and warm drinks, and the boat was super spacious with a heated cabin to thaw out in whenever it got chilly.
Captain Matt and Sophia were amazing. We saw Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Seals, many whales, and a mama bear with her cubs. The ride was smooth, Matt & Sophia provided great commentary, and we could easily move around to get better views throughout. Excellent!
