Teide National Park
Esta é uma subida longa e difícil até ao Teide, (44km, 5% média), mas vale a pena o esforço. Antes de chegar ao teleférico, passaremos por pequenas aldeias, áreas florestais e belos mirantes, onde haverá muitas oportunidades para tirar fotos e apreciar a vista de Puerto de la Cruz, a baía e o Oceano Atlântico. Os últimos 11 quilómetros vão levar-nos através do parque nacional do Teide, com a paisagem agora a mudar para ser mais crua, parecendo-se mais com a superfície de Marte ou da Lua, em vez da Terra! Uma vista realmente incrível e de tirar o fôlego. Depois da longa subida e do merecido descanso, fazemos a longa descida de volta a Puerto de la Cruz. Distância: 94 km, Subida de altitude: 2400m A BICICLETA NÃO ESTÁ INCLUÍDA NO PREÇO. We rented bikes for 3 days - super service and the bikes were great. Teide and Masca valley was a dream come true. Thank you for everything.
Great experience. Very good guide who knows what you need. Hy listens and give extra info about the Forrest en vegetations on the mountain. Easy to connect.
We joined a group consisting of another couple and a single. We all chose EBikes which we highly recommend ( there are some serious climbs. ) We all had an excitement to explore this incredible terrain, with different skill levels , the E-bike helps level the playing field ! Rob our host guide did a great job, making sure we were all safe and getting the most out of the ride. I recommend your own bike back pack with water and snacks for energy . It is a great ride and long so some energy food is great for a break half way through. The shop had a great selection of bikes and made sure we were comfortable and secure on the bike before loading for transport. This is a must do in Tenerife and this company is a great choose.
Brilliant one to one guided tour. Alberto knows the routes really well , he was great company and obviously a very experienced cyclist. He picked me up from my hotel and took me to the bike shop to fit me with a suitable bike. If you want to climb the mountain I would highly recommend this company for their professional and friendly service . Excellent value for money
Jesper was an A class guide. I enjoyed the El Teide tour so much I booked again the next day! Jesper provided the perfect amount of keeping us safe, encouragement, excellent local knowledge, the best coffee and cake stops, and will challenge you if you like!! Amazing hire bike. Excellent day out with Jasper from Ride Base. Had to take the longer route due to road closures on the Mountain but Jasper coached me up the brutal climb to Teide - all about 2500m of climbing and a PB for me in a single day. Words of encouragement, biscuits along the way and the odd ‘suck it up and pedal’ from Jasper who pushed me all the way to make sure I didn’t bail on the climb. The effort was rewarded by a fantastic views, 45 descent (max speed about 85kmph 🚴💨) and a cold beer next door to the shop. Decent bikes with generous gearing, very smooth roads particularly on the descent and courteous driver who are very patient. All in all a grand day and one to brag about with the cycle club back home.
Jesper is a great guide, really helpful & friendly. Recommend it as a challenge for all endurance athletes, not just for cyclists. Highlight of my holiday!
I was originally just going to hire the bike from Ride Base and tackle the Teide climb on my own. However I'm really glad I opted to choose the guided option! Jesper was professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. Which took all the guess work out of pacing the ride, and made it far more enjoyable. The bike itself was perfectly set up, and the guys were more than happy to swap over to my personal saddle I'd brought with me. I look forward to going back to Tenerife to tackle Masca and some of the MTB trails, and I'll definitely use Ride Base again!!
