Unfortunately, this was not as described and not how the reviewers described it. Rather than being with a couple in their home, we met at the husband's wine shop (wife was away) and no one else attended. He served us mainly non-French wines, natural in type, which was interesting, but he didn't inform us about the particular regions or terroirs, or even winemakers, preferring as he said to have us just experience it. We had hoped to learn more about different wines and winemaking but he didn't seem to want to answer our questions but rather to follow his planned "script," even though it was just us and we know something about wine. The cheeses were quite good though, but overall not why we had booked this tasting. We would have preferred a different booking that was more "traditional" since this was at a wine shop anyway.
This an amazing couple - wife is American and husband French. They run this amazing wine and cheese tasting, with incredible information, conversation and pairings! And they ended with her homemade chocolate mouse, which the best we had in Paris!!
Olivia and Brave were amazing!! It felt like being welcomed in to their home. They were knowledgable, friendly and really good company!! I would highly recommend this if you are in Paris and want something a bit different. Thanks for a fab evening!
Loved this! We will be sure to visit again the next time we are in Paris. Brave definitely tailored the experience to us & answered our many questions thoughtfully. We ended up staying way longer than expected because we were having so much fun.
Informative, fun and laid back. Brave knows his wine and is an enthusiastic supporter of natural wines. He can be as technical or non-technical as you want him to be. Small cozy space. It can get warm in there. A fan or two would be nice.
It was a really great experience — both fun and educational. Truly a great host. Also a really cozy little wine bar with a very intimate atmosphere.
