Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul Temple er et hinduistisk tempel nær byen Tampaksiring i Bali i Indonesia. Tukad Cepung Waterfall
Tukad Cepung vannfall. Hva gjør dette fossen er unikt Selvfølgelig, fordi det er på sidelinjene av en høy klippe, så når solen kommer inn i sidelinjene av klippen. Our driver, Made, truly made our Bali trip even more memorable. Along the way, he taught us a few simple Balinese phrases, shared interesting stories about the traditional family compounds we saw, and made the long journey back to Kuta so much fun. We listened to music, sang together, and enjoyed every moment of the ride. What I loved most about this tour was how unique each waterfall was. One is hidden inside a cave, another drops directly into a natural pool, while the third flows over a wide, rocky cascade. Since each waterfall has its own character, you never get bored of seeing them. Among all of them, Tibumana was definitely my favorite for swimming.
Honestly, this was the best day of our Bali trip. Gede picked us up right on time, and his car was super clean and heavily air-conditioned (a total lifesaver). We started at Tirta Empul and did the water purification ritual. Gede explained exactly what to do so we didn't feel lost. Kanto Lampo was our favorite waterfall—getting in the water and climbing the rocks was so fun. 10/10 recommend!
If you are on the fence about booking a private driver, just do it. Nyoman navigated the insane Ubud traffic, dodged the stray dogs, and found parking in tiny crowded lots so I didn't have to stress about any of it. The holy water ritual was pretty crowded when I went in the late morning, but standing in the cold water still felt very grounding and spiritual. This tour is great value for what you pay when you factor in the fuel, the driving time, and the local knowledge. Just remember to tip your guide at the end of the day!
Gede treated us like we were old friends visiting from out of town, not just paying tourists. My seven-year-old son wouldn't stop asking him rapid-fire questions about the demons and gods on the temple statues, and Gede answered every single one with a massive smile. The waterfalls are obviously beautiful, but honestly, having a guide who clearly loves his island and wants to share its history with you makes the whole experience ten times better. We felt very welcomed and safe the entire day 😎
Tegalalang is ridiculously beautiful, but it gets hot incredibly fast once the sun gets above the palm trees. Kadek was smart and showed us a quieter, shaded path away from the main cafes and the aggressive vendors selling hats, which made it a much more relaxing walk. Make sure you grab a fresh iced coconut from one of the stalls afterwards, you'll definitely need the hydration! Kanto Lampo was a great way to cool down at the very end of the day. Just bring a waterproof bag for your phone if you plan on getting close to the falls.
This tour is a really great way to kill a day off if you're traveling for work. Wayan was super efficient getting us from spot to spot without making it feel like a boot camp. The rice terraces are genuinely interesting to look at from an agricultural perspective, and the sheer scale of the hand-carved landscaping is impressive. The car was spotlessly clean, the driving was smooth enough that I could answer some emails on my phone during the transit, and Wayan knew exactly where to drop me off to avoid the worst of the evening traffic. Highly recommended for business travelers.
By the time we started the drive back to our hotel, both of my kids were fast asleep in the back of the van, which is the universal sign of a great day out. Komang was our guide and he was wonderful. We ended up taking a really long time at lunch because the food took forever to come out, but he never rushed us or made us feel like we were ruining the schedule. He was also really good about reminding us to stay hydrated because the humidity in the jungle around the waterfalls is no joke. The holy water temple is beautiful, just prepare for crowds!
I booked this super last minute the night before because I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to rent a scooter and navigate the mountain roads myself. I got Jenar as my driver and he made everything so incredibly easy. He bought the entrance tickets while I waited in the shade, showed me where the cleanest public toilets were, and held my heavy backpack while I went swimming. It’s a completely hassle-free way to see the best parts of Ubud in a single day. The car was spotless and the AC worked perfectly.
