Visit to the olive grove, oil tasting and lunch at the farm

Elio & crew are wonderful. We learned so much and the olive oil is exceptional. We had lunch on premise and even bought/sponsored and named an olive tree!

Good quality oil and lovely tasting

My husband found this tour as part of a day trip we were taking to Sortino to visit the Pantalica. We got to the tasting room an hour earlier than anticipated, and were met by Elio, the owner. We couldn’t start until the rest of the group was there, so Elio made us cappuccinos and gave us advice on where to go in Sortino while we were waiting for the group to arrive, which was so kind of him. When we returned for the tour, Adele took us to the olive grove and gave us a very in-depth description of everything they do there and knew the answer to every question. She’s also very sweet and friendly, and her English is fantastic. After the olive grove tour, we returned to the tasting room for the lunch portion of the tour, where we saw the hydraulic press they use to actually extract the oil from the olives. We then got to taste some of their delicious oil before being served a very filling lunch with unlimited wine. Overall, the experience was worth every penny. Elio and Adele were wonderful, the food was great, the wine was flowing, and it was just very authentic of Sicilian hospitality. I would recommend this tour to anyone in the area! Not to be missed!
