Overzicht
a) tasting the Honey Mead (unique liqueur made of fermented bee honey and water | Hydromeli), which is produced exclusively in Greece by the Sotirali Family from neighboring Neapolis town, which has reinvented and patented this forgotten local traditional recipe,
b) tasting the rich flavor of our own extra virgin olive oil Benios made of o local olive variety named "Athinoelia",
c) Experience tasting the unique local wine "Malvasia", which was very famous and coveted during the middle ages. The original recipe has been discovered and revived recently by Monemvasia Winery, continuing the centuries old wine making tradition of the area.

Wat je gaat doen
We verwelkomen u met een glas honingweide (unieke likeur gemaakt van gefermenteerde bijenhoning en water | Hydromeli), na de wijnproeverij van drie lokale variëteiten: a) Kydonitsa b) Monemvasios en c) een rode regionale wijn. Daarna gaan we door met het proeven van 3 extra vergine olijfolievariëteiten a) Athinoelia b) Koroneiki c) Megaritiki of Patrinia. Ten slotte zullen we drie soorten bijenhoning proeven, afhankelijk van de bloemen waarvan de honing door de bijen wordt geoogst: a) Tijm b) Sinaasappelboom c) Pijnboom- of heidehoning, afhankelijk van het seizoen. Na het einde van de proeverij worden de bezoekers geïnformeerd over onze lokale cosmeticalijn en krijgen ze de kans om ze op hun huid te proberen. De gasten krijgen 5% korting als ze geïnteresseerd zijn in een van de producten die ze hebben geproefd of geprobeerd.

Excellent experience... the castle is wonderful, but to learn about the cheese, olive oil, wine, desert wine, food, etc.... made it all just that much better. Fotini was our host and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. She is very passionate and knowledgeable, she also recommended a restaurant which was a great topper to our day. Fotini (the owner of the shop) was just so warm and welcoming. She had a wonderful charcuterie set out for us and shared stories and history of their products and the work that goes into them. She made us feel completely at home and everything we tasted was just delicious! We are so glad we booked this visit with Fotini! She and her shop are just fabulous!
Amazing food, excellent host. Great location. It is a bit small to you will stand for the tasting which is fine. Only improvement is I wish the directions would have said it is in a soap store. The location and name of the place on the building is very hard to find. Unless you are good at measuring 50 meters. Look for the soaps out front on the left and their logo as the word “deli” has worn off and the pace doesn’t look like a deli.

The wine (and sooo much more) experience was wonderful when paired with all the shop has to offer . The proprietor was very accommodating , friendly , helpful and the town is beautiful .
