Castle Combe
De dag begint in Castle Combe, dat ongetwijfeld een van de meest gefotografeerde dorpen van heel Engeland is. Er is hier sinds de 15e eeuw weinig veranderd - geen straatverlichting of tv-antennes. Dit middeleeuwse juweeltje staat bekend om zijn pittoreske huisjes en kabbelende beekjes. It’s been a year since my mom, aunt, and I did the Captivating Cotswolds Tour with Matthias, and we still talk about it regularly and look back on it with so much fondness. Matthias’s communication leading up to the tour was clear, and we had no concerns or questions leading into the day. We spent the day looking at beautiful scenery, hearing about the history of the areas, architecture, and at times the food. There was something for everyone, and it felt like the more Matthias got to know us, the more he catered the tour to our interests. Also, it’s worth noting that all 3 of us are gluten free, and we were able to safely enjoy a lovely meal and drink at a quaint local restaurant. It was our favorite day of our trip, and we couldn’t recommend him enough. We can’t wait to come back and do another tour!
Matthias (Matt) was an outstanding tour guide. The tour we took was actually customized: Oxford and Blenheim Palace (and we drove through the Cotswolds on the way back to Bath). Matt’s knowledge of so many things is “off the charts”. Fabulous day and I think he spent a bit more time with us than he was contracted for.

Matthias was absolutely amazing! We spend two days seeing the Cotswold and bath. These are must stop destinations and Matt made every minute exciting and comfortable! 10/10! He is a must book for your next trip!
