Grand Egyptian Museum
Dan is het Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), ook bekend als het Giza Museum, een belangrijk archeologisch museum dat zich nabij de Pyramiden van Gizeh bevindt. Overzicht: Locatie: Ongeveer 2 kilometer van de Gizehpiramiden, aan de rand van Caïro *Maat : Het wordt verwacht dat het het grootste archeologische museum ter wereld zal zijn, met ongeveer 100.000 artefacten tentoongesteld. My family and I had an absolutely wonderful week of touring Cairo with Mr. Ahmed, Mostafa, and drivers Khalid and Hesham. We visited the pyramids in Giza, rode camels, and visited the impressive Grand Egyptian Museum and the Civilization Museum (modern, gorgeous exhibits including of all the mummies). We also toured Old Cairo including the market, the Coptic churches, the synagogue and the oldest and largest mosque in Africa. We finished our tour on a delightful Nile river dinner cruise, with great cuisine and amazing views of Cairo at sunset from the Nile. Unforgettable! I highly recommend Mr. Ahmed and his team. They are knowledgeable, punctual, responsive, and very friendly. You will get the best of Egypt from this tour!
Mostafa, our guide, was wonderful. Great explanations and general background. He gave a full picture by adding important information so that a full story was told. He pointed out everything that was important and also which photos would be good. He taught a bit of hieroglyphics. Dendra and Abydos were amazing - so much colour and such excellent carvings. The ceilings were exceptional - still full of colour. This is a must trip for anyone coming to Egypt.
We had the best time visiting the pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum with Mr. Ahmed. His team’s attention to detail was unmatched and we were picked up by a driver to attend the day’s tourist sites. He is so knowledgeable and kind, and told us all about Egypt and the sites. We felt safe and attended to at all times—both with Mr. Ahmed and with other tour guides who met us through Egypt Tours (we toured Cairo over several days with either Mr. Ahmed or his colleagues.) We had such a good time that we repeated the booking for the second time we came to Egypt. If you come to Egypt, you absolutely have to book with Egypt Tours Booking!

Had an amazing day on the pyramids tour, thanks to Ahmed for making it such a great experience. From start to finish everything was smooth, well organised and completely stress free. He was very friendly, and made the whole day feel relaxed rather than rushed. You can tell he really knows his history and had loads of interesting information. Ahmed was very genuine and professional. He made sure we were comfortable the whole time, gave us space to enjoy the views, and helped us get some great photos as well. Out in Cairo for work and chanced upon a day off, booked this tour through the hotel at short notice and really glad I did. The pyramids and sphinx really are a must see and Ahmed is the guy to show you the sights. Really informative knowledgeable and likeable guide. We tailored the day to the time I had and visited the grand museum finishing with a local lunch in a Cairo cafe. 10/10 would recommend to friend
