10 kilometer Running Experience in Rome

I absolutely loved my sunrise running tour with **Rome by Run** — it turned out to be one of the highlights of my time in Rome. We started at dawn, when the streets were almost deserted and the sky was just beginning to change colour. Over about 5 km we took in the Roman aqueducts, Aurelian Walls, Basilica of San Giovanni, the Colosseum and so much more. Seeing Rome this way, before the city really woke up, was quite magical. What made the experience exceptional, though, was our guide **Simone**. Born and raised in Rome and still living locally, he didn't just tell us about the city's history — he shared his own Rome with us. We passed places connected to his life and family: where he was married, where his children were born and where his grandparents live. In a wonderfully spontaneous moment, we even bumped into his brother on his way to the hospital! Simone was incredibly warm, knowledgeable and engaging, and it felt less like a formal tour and more like going for a run with a local friend who genuinely loves his city. I'm travelling solo and this was such a personal, memorable way to experience Rome. I enjoyed it far more than I expected and would absolutely recommend **Rome by Run** to anyone who wants to see a different and very special side of the city. **Thank you, Simone — an incredible experience and the perfect way to start my day in Rome.** 🏃‍♀️🇮🇹❤️

I cannot stop smiling , that was hands down the best “ tour “ experience I have ever had . Simoné not only showed me the “big tourist “ attractions but also all the little secret ones . What a way to see Rome with a wonderful real Roman running partner - if I had the energy I’d have done that again today . If you have a runner in your group I’d truly recommend they do this tour the first day as it really helped us to “ plan “ our next few days in Rome . I had a great journey with Claudia through ancient Rome and the surrounding areas. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and took me to several awesome spots! Great English and lots of great discussions! I highly recommend this team and getting a run-in while you're in Rome. There's no better way to see a city!
