Outstanding tour operator!

This was one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Japan. Booking a three-day guided tour with Matt made the experience truly unforgettable. He is an amazing guide, extremely knowledgeable about Japan’s history, culture, traditions, and everyday life. He shared fascinating insights throughout the trip and helped us understand and appreciate each place we visited on a deeper level. Beyond his expertise, Matt is a wonderful person, funny, kind, patient, and incredibly reliable. He made us feel comfortable from the very beginning and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. His friendly personality and passion for Japan made every day enjoyable and memorable. Our experience with Nihon Travel was definitely one of the highlights of our entire Japan trip. We saw incredible places, learned so much, and created memories that we will cherish for years to come. We highly recommend Matt and Nihon Travel to anyone looking for a personalized, enjoyable, and meaningful way to explore Japan!

Fabulous guide!

Matt has been an absolutely fabulous guide over our 5 days with him. We joked that he can teleport because somehow he always appears exactly where needed! 👍 He also has a wonderfully quirky dry sense of humour and quickly worked out who in the group was the easiest to tease! Matt easily found convenience stores when we were in need of coffee, cold drinks, snacks & toilets stops, and he knows the best places for incredible photo opportunities. His van is well kitted out with wifi, portable chargers, and a rubbish bag - because of our convenience stops. 🤣 Nothing was ever a problem and he always goes out of his way to help.

Best week in Japan!

Matt was an exceptional tour guide! We had a week trip and spent 3.5 days with Matt and it was the best decision!! He is accommodating, knowledgeable, so smart, and always will go above and beyond. We would 100% use him again and recommend him for any length of stay in Japan.

Wonderful Sakura Moment

Our tour guide Matt from Viator is a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable person. He is a great photographer as well. He did an excellent job. He even put his effort to buy me a cake to blow during the day of my birthday. Greatly appreciated his thoughtfulness.

Three Day Japan Tour

My husband and I traveled to Japan in March, and were overwhelmed with how much there was to see. We wanted to visit some of the major cities and becuase I'd never been there, I was having a difficult time trying to figure out where to go and how to get there. I found Matt and Nihon Travel and it was a perfect solution! We got to see so much more of the country in the three days it took to get from Tokyo to Osaka than we would have if we'd been on our own. Matt is kind and patient and very flexible with the plans. He is fluent in Japanese and his knowledge of the country and it's history is excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour, but keep in mind it is very fast paced. Thank you Matt for being an excellent guide and we wish you nothing but success!

Nihon Travel 100 Stars!

I would give Matt 100 stars if it was possible. He treated us well and made sure we saw all the sites we wanted to see, plus alternate options. He also had us use many of his discounts at various locations and kept in touch with us through the remainder of our stay in Japan to make sure we were doing well and if we had any additional questions. Our family of 5 appreciate Matt and wish we could take him home with us hahaha!
