We had the most fabulous day with CJ. He was so passionate about the area giving us time and patience to enjoy some stunning vistas. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, not having the opportunity to fully climb Mount Fuji, but still getting the chance to explore the surrounding area and enjoy some fabulous views. First of all, we highly recommend this tour! We were delayed because of traffic, so I contacted our tour guide, Grahame. He immediately looked into the available options and managed to reschedule our tour for later that same day. We really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to help. We started this experience with a very neutral mindset, but we were genuinely amazed by the forest. The explanations were incredibly detailed, and we learned so much—not only about the nature and history of the forest, but also about the many rumors and myths that can be found online. We were given the opportunity to take a relaxing break during the tour, which also led to a great conversation where we shared our experiences and opinions. The walk lasted a little longer than expected, which was definitely a positive! Grahame took the time to explain everything thoroughly and never made us feel rushed. He also gave us time to simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the forest. Every question we asked was answered with great enthusiasm and in detail. If there was something he wasn’t completely sure about, he was honest about it. He never made things up, and that made us trust him even more. After the tour, he kindly drove us back to the station to make sure we arrived in time for our bus. Along the way, he also shared lots of interesting facts and useful tips about Japan. On our way to the station, he even took a different route so we could enjoy an amazing view of Mount Fuji. A huge thank you to our tour guide, Grahame! Great day with a wonderful guide seeing Ice cave, dragon cave, historic village with beautiful artwork, local restaurant lunch by the lake, then on to Mothers White waterfall and Asima jinja shrine with ancient 1200 year old trees - a very full and beautiful scenic day - highly recommend
