We went on the Insprirational Womens Tour with our guide Jean and it was fantastic. We met at the Anglican Cathedral and got to know the guide very quickly. Her passion for the subject really shone through, which made the trip all the more interesting. The tour flew by! We went to places I didn't realise were so important to the city and it's heritage. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning a side of Liverpool which is so often unfortunately overlooked!
We joined the Inspiring Women tour today with Liverpool Famous Walking Tours and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide, Jean, was absolutely superb. Her depth of knowledge was remarkable, but what really stood out was the way she brought the stories of these women to life. It was clear just how much research, preparation and passion had gone into the tour. We discovered the stories of so many fascinating women who have helped shape Liverpool and, in many cases, influenced change far beyond the city. Some of the names were familiar, while others were completely new to us, which made the tour even more interesting. Jean didn’t simply give us facts and dates. She gave us the stories behind the women, the challenges they faced, what they achieved and why their contribution still matters today. Her enthusiasm was infectious and there was so much information packed into the tour without it ever feeling like a history lesson. A genuinely fascinating, thought provoking and enjoyable way to discover another side of Liverpool. Huge credit to Jean for the work and knowledge that has clearly gone into creating and delivering such an excellent tour. We came away having learned so much.

Pam was an excellent guide - full of knowledge, interest and enthusiasm. The timings were really good which must be very hard to achieve. I felt very welcome and the informal atmosphere meant it was easy to ask questions or make comments. It was truly inspirational and I felt very moved and humbled by what these pioneering and courageous women did to improve the lot of others in many different ways. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
