概要
Alpine trekking is an incredibly unique way to see the landscape. You can see endless miles of mountainous terrain. On a clear day, we can even see Mt. Denali hundreds of miles away! Plus, once you're on top, the terrain can be fairly flat, making the trekking a truly enjoyable experience. During the tour, we may see moose, bear, Dall sheep, mountain goats, and a variety of small mammals like arctic squirrels and marmots. There are also plenty of birds to gaze at like bald eagles, thrushes, chickadees, and jays. This is one of our favorite ways to experience Alaska and the Chugach State Park.

Todd was a great guide. We saw so much moose and he really was there to keep us safe. I felt secured that he came with us. All the knowledge he had about Alaskas background was a plus. He also educated us in wildlife safety. Super knowledgeable! Great guy, great hike! If you’re worried about your safety and/or would like to know more about the last frontier definitely take this hike! Thank you for such a great tour!
Amazing breathtaking hike with very knowledgeable and friendly instructor Todd. We had a great time together
Earlier this month we had the pleasure of having Todd as our guide on this overcast 5 hour afternoon trek in the Chugach Mts. Todd kept a great pace and provided a wonderful running commentary of the geology of the area, local flowers, vegetation, trees and animals that inhabit these mountains. We finished the hike at a beautiful waterfall in another location watching a few salmon running upstream. It’s evident that Todd’s job is his passion and his hobby. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Anchorage as well.
We booked for the 6 hour hike but due to awful weather we only managed 2 hours. The guide was very understanding and accommodated our request for a shorter hike. Despite the weather the hike was good and the scenery beautiful. The guide was knowledgeable and informative and we enjoyed the hike.
It was an amazing hike and our guide Nick was very good; educational and friendly. Totally worth it! There was snow in the last section and our guide was prepared for us, he had micro spikes for all of us to use. I would go back anytime.
I know we can all use AllTrails app to hike, but let me tell you as a hiker you WANT to use these guides especially in bear country. More importantly you want to learn about the area. Who can’t just use a trail app to walk a trail. But the experience is very different I have hiked for years and have done both. But in Alaska this is the way to go!!! Good luck and safe hiking.
Excellent hike with beautiful scenery. Saw a bull moose, hiked to the top and it was just stunning. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this hike.
The views are worth it! We also had a really great guide (Stephan). The hike itself was challenging, as described, but I always felt comfortable to pace myself as needed.
