• Visit the local market. Thai markets with all their colors smells and sounds will give you an authentic look into a very interesting part of Thai culture. You will also learn about different Thai vegetables and herbs.
• Learn the essential skills and techniques you can use every day! Thai cooking will be very simple and taught in very easy steps so it would be easier for you to cook yourselves at home.
• Make your own Curry Paste from scratch using Mortar and Pestle (No MSG and no buying ready-made ones from the market)Also as a part of our cooking
• Learn how to make from scratch some of the most well known favorite Thai 3-4 dishes. You will gain a very all-round knowledge of Thai cooking and dine on your creations after the class.

Your journey begins with a quick transfer from your accommodation to the Phuket Thai Cooking school, with pick up roughly 30-40 minutes before your scheduled start time. Departure for the local morning market. Our chef will guide you while you discover the diverse Thai fruits and vegetables. Explain the use of multicolored spices and buying fresh ingredients to be used to cook at the class. Return to the cooking class. We will quickly teach you all you need to know about the herbs, vegetables, and spices used in Thai food. We teach and let you make your own Curry Paste from scratch using mortar and pestle. Savor a mouthwatering Thai made by yourself. • 10:30am - 10:50am Pickup at your hotel lobby • 11:00am Local Market tour (walking you through the authentic lifestyle and buying fresh ingredients to be used to cook at the class, fruit tasting). • 11:45am Arriving at our class will be served with water and herbal drinks. Get to know each other participants, relax, take pictures. • 12:00pm Introduction to ingredients home-style session begins, serving and eating what you have cooked, enjoying the meals together. • 02:00pm End of class and ready to go back.

Although there are 2 customers, they have to come to the location by themselves. • Please plan to meet your tour guide at your hotel lobby at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late or after we have moved from your hotel, you may be considered a no-show

Fantastic authentic cooking from making a paste to cooking. We cooked 5 dishes from scratch. A great trip all around with a great atmosphere and learning experience
This classes exceeded my expectations! Starting off with the market tour was a great treat. I was able to bring back some of the ingredients home and I couldn’t be any happier. We made 4 dishes with the help and guidance of our instructors and received the recipes for our dishes right after. One of my favorite experiences I booked in Phuket!
My daughter (20’s) and I booked for the cooking element, without the market tour and had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours cooking traditional dishes. The class is well organised so that you get the most from your time and we prepared 4 different dishes. It’s a nice touch that VJ sends you the recipes after the class. Having prepared and eaten delicious food, my only regret was having breakfast that morning! I would definitely recommend this class.
If you love Thai food, take this class!! VJ does an amazing job! She is friendly, has a great sense of humor, and her instructions were easy to follow while keeping the class fun and enjoyable. Her staff are very helpful and attentive. The kitchen is clean, bright, well-equipped, and all the ingredients were perfectly organized for us to prepare. The food all tasted amazing and we even had enough to bring some leftovers home for later! We cannot wait to cook the recipes again when we get back home. The class was educational, a great value for the cost, and overall a wonderful experience! Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing!! We really loved doing a Thai cooking class. VJ was so clear and informative, with a lot of humour as well. We did 4 different recipes, all to eat - we didn’t expect to be doing so many. They’re super helpful if you’re stuck and VJ explains every step of the process so clearly. Her English is amazing as well, we learnt so much - not only about Thai food but the culture that surrounds it as well. They also offer pick up and drop off to your hotel which was great. Really recommend!
Fantastic experience and lots of fun visiting a market with Chef VJ. back to the kitchen and we were taught to cook about 4 authentic Thai dishes. A wonderful trip to go on as you will learn and take away knowledge of cooking in Thailand. Thank you VJ and staff
My husband surprised me with a cooking class while we were visiting Phuket. I was picked up at our hotel by a wonderful gentleman and taken to the cooking class location, the location was very comfortable and very welcoming. We began the class with very clear and simple instruction, we cooked four different dishes…I COULD’NT BELIEVE I actually had successfully cooked such delicious Thai dishes! The class was such an AMAZING experience, I highly recommend this class. VJ was very helpful, patient and professional in teaching (explaining) us the different techniques, spices and what we need to be able to cook the dishes when at home. Thank you Phuket Thai Cooking by VJ for such an AMAZING experience.
Very authentic cooking class. At the market, the guide explains everything about local fruit, fish or similar. We cooked 4 dishes and to everything was told something in very good English. You get very full and the food is a 10 out of 10. It is very clean and drinks are also provided at all times. Highly recommended!
