Museo Nacional del Prado
Housed in an 18th century neoclassical building, the Prado Museum displays thousands of works from its vast collection, spanning the 1200s to the 1900s. Some of the stand-out pieces include “Las Meninas” (The Maids of Honor), an inventive self-portrait by Spanish-born Velázquez, and “The Garden of Earthly Delights,” a triptych from Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. You’ll wander its hall as your expert guided reveals the stories and secrets behind works by Goya, Fra Angelico, El Greco, Rembrandt, and others. Explore the largest collection of Italian masterpieces outside of Italy in addition to a fine selection of prints and sculptures. Whatever you do, don’t leave Madrid without experiencing all of the entrancing works that the Prado has to offer.

Andrea was a terrific guide. She was knowledgable, personable and enthusiastic about the subject matter. She answered all of our questions. It was a great tour. I highly recommend Andrea to anyone interested in a most enjoyable and informative tour of the Prado Museum.
Get a private tour with Beatriz. She is fantastic. Art is her passion, she gives information and back stories, everything. We enjoyed very much.
10/10, no notes. Michele was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Such an interesting and educated person. He helped us understand what we were seeing, the different movements of art relevant to the Spanish empire and different royal reigns, and why each work he highlighted was important. We booked a private tour - worth every penny.
I signed up for this small group guided tour. None of the other participants showed up so it was just me and the tour guide Michelle A. He was amazing and I learned a great deal more from him than if I had just wandered around the Prado on my own. He was very knowledgeable and took no short cuts even though I was the only one in the "group". He was truly interested in making sure I got the most out of my time at the Prado. This was 2 1/2 hours well spent.
The Prado is incredible. Our guide, Rosita, was more than wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Her insights into the art and artists were important and valuable to us. Rosita was friendly and very excited about the Museum. She was able to provide history and fun stories to each exhibit. We would highly recommend this small group tour.
Jamie was very knowledgeable and excellent at navigating the crowds so we could have great views of the art. He was articulate and clear in his descriptions. And enjoyable to be around.
The Prado can be overwhelming, but our guide, Beatriz, did a fantastic job ushering us to exactly the artists and paintings we were most interested in. She framed each painting and sculpture in both the history of art and the history of Spain. Truly an illuminating and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
Really good tour. This was my kids favorite part of our trip so far. The guide had almost too much info!
