Un laboureur très complet et d'origine locale est servi dans la seconde moitié du voyage avec de nombreux délicieux ajouts faits maison.
Vous pouvez dîner sur le pont si le temps le permet, avec des vues dont la plupart des restaurants ne peuvent que rêver. Nous disposons d'un bar bien approvisionné et à des prix raisonnables à bord, avec du thé, du café et des boissons non alcoolisées gratuites.
Nous disposons même d'une salle de bain privée et du chauffage central !
Ayant navigué sur Windermere pendant 20 ans, j'ai beaucoup d'histoires à vous raconter sur le lac et j'apprécie vraiment de vous montrer comment y naviguer dans mon fabuleux yacht.

L'expérience Ploughman de 3 heures est l'occasion de se familiariser avec la navigation sur un yacht océanique Beneteau Ocenis Clipper de 10 mètres. Après 90 minutes de navigation, nous trouvons un mouillage dans une baie isolée de Windermere et nous détendons avec un fabuleux Ploughman's d'origine locale et très étendu. Vous pourrez dîner sur le pont si le temps le permet, ou dans le confort du salon spacieux. Le yacht est équipé d'une salle de bain.

It doesn't get much better than this, my husband and I spent a perfect afternoon sailing with John. This is our second trip , and was definitely the highlight of our week in the lakes. John is a great host, he instils the confidence you need to take the wheel of his beautiful boat, together with his knowledge of sailing, the local area, combine that with his talents in the galley, it's a perfect experience
This was an excellent 4 hour private sailing and learning experience on Lake Windermere. Captain John and his boat gave us a spectacular sail and history talk around the middle section of the lake, and a great luncheon freshly made and served in his spacious cabin. While sailing, you’re in fresh air; bring rain coat and pants in case. We had showers then sun drying us out, and both were fine. Our friends got to sail the boat a bit, and John was happy to have our youngest sailor, 13 years, help him with the ropes and sails. I highly recommend this experience.
Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) - 10.30am sail. I booked this trip as a surprise 50th birthday gift for my husband. He likes boats (wishes he had one) and it was simply fantastic. Husband had no idea what the surprise was until we arrived at the Marina, where we were greeted by John. A huge part of what makes this experience really great is John himself, super passionate about sailing, very knowledgeable about the local area, and overall great host. All of us had the opportunity to steer, and he made sure all of us got involved on the day and we also learnt a lot about Windermere and the boats. The food was great, we loved the homemade chutney which was absolutely delicious, and finished with tea and cake. Must admit, I was a little worried that the kids would get bored with it being 3 hours but it was the right amount of time to sail, enjoy, eat, and chill. Worth every penny. My daughter commented afterwards as she was impressed that he remembered all our names and he made a special mention about my husband’s 50th, it’s these little touches that make it memorable! At the end of the trip (around 1.30pm), we did walk around Windermere for a short while, and it was so busy, queues everywhere you turn, so we were so relieved that we were able to enjoy the sail without the crowds. I would highly recommend this experience, especially if you’re looking for something unique and special. Thank you, John.
Absolutely fantastic time with John, the perfect host. A very knowledgeable entertaining person who made both lunch sail and dine and a sail around the lake for the whole family the day afterwards a perfect experience for my husband’s 70th birthday treat. Thanks again John.
We have just shared a lovely three hour experience with Skipper, Chef, Waiter and all round excellent entertainer ‘John’, on his lovely Sailing boat. John is very warm, friendly, funny, and full of interesting local facts. We moored in a quiet corner of the lake, for a fab ploughman’s lunch, with lots of lovely homemade goodies. All-in-all, a really lovely, excellent value for money, way to spend a few hours on the lake. Thank you very much John. We would definitely recommend you.
Sail n Dine did not disappoint. We were two families visiting the area for a long weekend (first time for some). The weather was perfect and made the afternoon sailing with John even better. John was a great skipper, very friendly and provided fab service from start to finish. We had 3 kids on board (x2 9yrs and x1 7yrs) and John let them all get stuck in with sailing and driving the boat. We then found a lovely area in a bay and before lunch had a swim. The food was fabulous and there was Penty to go around too. Topped off with a few drinks from the bar too. Thanks John for a cracking afternoon. Glad we found you. Ps. John advertises on viatour (how I initially found him) however book direct as it puts more into the businesses pocket.
This was our first 'Sail N Dine' experience and it certainly won't be our last. On the most perfect of summer days, we were treated to a fabulous afternoon on Lake Windermere aboard the beautiful 'Maddie Too'. John was a brilliant skipper and an extremely attentive host. His knowledge of the surrounding area and local history was fascinating and an added bonus. To cap off our afternoon's sailing before heading back to the marina, a sheltered, sunny spot was found and a delicious ploughman's was enjoyed, including some tasty homemade goodies. Such wonderful memories; and as a family, we can't thank John enough for being the perfect host and skipper. Thank you, Karen, Paula & Warren
Loved the experience! John was a super skipper and host. Very knowledgeable, friendly and we had a wonderful time exploring beautiful Windermere, away from the crowds with incredible views under sail. Ploughman's lunch was a big hit - served superbly in a quiet bay whilst we enjoyed the scenery around us. Would highly recommend!!
