Kalambaka
Nous partons de notre bureau au centre de Kalampaka après un bon ajustement du vélo et un bref briefing sur le trajet.

Nous traversons le village, petit arrêt pour les derniers ajustements et quelques mots sur l'histoire du village, puis nous commençons la randonnée hors route.

Meteora
Après avoir quitté Kastraki, à l'ombre de la forêt de chênes des Météores, un complexe bien entretenu de pistes VTT attend d'être découvert et parcouru. Préparez-vous pour une ruée vers l'endorphine ! Nous parcourrons un mélange de sentiers et de chemins de terre et nous nous arrêterons pour voir les attractions les plus importantes.

Moni Ypapantis tou Kyriou
Nous atteignons l'un des monastères cachés des Météores, Ypapanti. Juste en face, nous faisons une pause à côté de la statue d'Eythimios Vlachavas pour des collations et pour profiter d'une vue à couper le souffle, avant de remonter sur la selle.

Varlaam Monastery
Nous atteignons Metoxi de Varlaam et nous faisons un autre petit arrêt et peut-être remplir l'eau de la source (si elle coule encore).

We had a wonderful private mountain bike tour with Vasilis. The views were amazing, and the trail was challenging, but our guide adapted it perfectly to our experience level. Vasilis seamlessly combined his expert bike-riding skills with fascinating insights about the local area.
Our experience was unexpected in that we had not planned a mountain bike ride or Tour in Meteora, however, while visiting the monasteries and hiking in the area, we felt that a mountain bike ride with a guide would be awesome. My wife read reviews on TripAdvisor and was impressed with the reviews that Meteora E Bike received. We had planned on checking out a couple E bike shops but after walking in and meeting Vasilis, we immediately knew he was the person we wanted as our guide. We did not investigate any other businesses and planned our guide for the next day late to experience a sunset up in the mountains overlooking the monasteries. We also met Vasilis’s wife Jenny, who also works at the shop, and she is a bundle of energy and sweet as can be. We talked about everything imaginable and understood immediately why they are a couple that enhance the business tremendously. Not having planned a bike ride we had no equipment with us and everything was provided for us, helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and of course, the E bikes. My wife and I are avid mountain bikers, so we are very familiar with E bike usage. After a brief introduction regarding various modes and setting our seat height, we set off for our ride. It was a very hot day and we were provided with adequate water for the trip and we were quickly climbing up steep hills and eventually made our way off road. Vasilis was very attentive, making sure we were comfortable and provided interesting information and stories regarding the area , the monasteries and their history. Our tour lasted about 2 1/2 hours. The views we experienced, the information we received, were par excellence. By the time we got back to the shop, the sun had said it was quite dark and Jennifer was waiting for us. We got to talking about the experience and about our families, sharing stories and quickly realized that the night was late. What a great time we had and what amazing people they are!! I can’t say enough good things about them. If we lived in Meteora, I’m positive we would become good friends. If you were planning a trip to this region, don’t miss out on something you will never forget. Meteora E bike experience is A+++
The e-bikes were excellent and made exploring Meteora both fun and easy. Everyone at the office was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional from start to finish. They shared all required explanations, and beyond. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Meteora!.
Combining a 1-day guided tour with Vasilis and a 1-day rental to explore on my own was the absolute best way to experience Meteora! Day 1 (Guided Tour): Vasilis is an exceptional guide—super friendly, highly knowledgeable, and fantastic at adapting the route to your pace. He took me off the beaten track to incredible hidden spots and viewpoints away from the tour buses. Day 2 (Solo Rental): Renting the e-bike the following day allowed me to revisit my favorite spots and visit the monasteries completely at my own rhythm. The bikes are top-tier and make riding up the steep hills completely effortless. If you’re visiting Meteora, booking a tour with Vasilis and grabbing an e-bike rental is an absolute must!
Definitely a highlight of our trip and made perfect with the help of Vasilis at Meteora E-Bike. I don't often write reviews but the service was impeccable and so deserving of 5-Stars/dots (and more if I could). The bikes were excellent and he made sure we had everything we needed for an excellent and enjoyable tour. Big thanks and highly recommend.
