Votre visite commence au bas des marches de Noël – une rue aussi jolie que son nom. Votre Guide vous décrira comment le chocolat a façonné la ville pendant que vous passez devant des rivières cachées, du street art de classe mondiale et des bâtiments qui remontent aux origines de la ville.
Vous déambulerez ensuite vers la vieille ville, passant devant des maisons de sucre vieilles de 300 ans, des rues médiévales tout en vous arrêtant pour grignoter des délices chocolatés en chemin.
Votre visite du chocolat se termine ensuite parmi les commerçants indépendants magiques du marché Saint-Nicolas, où vous pourrez ensuite passer le reste de la journée à explorer les étals du marché à votre guise.

We really enjoyed our private chocolate tour of Bristol! We had no idea just how significant Bristol’s role was in the history and development of chocolate. Duncan’s wealth of knowledge was impressive, and he shared it in such a fun and engaging way. We would definitely recommend this experience to others. One small note—it would have been lovely to start the tour with some chocolate cake from the charming cake shop at the bottom of Christmas Steps even if it meant paying a little more, but that just means we’ll have to plan a return visit! Instead of visiting chocolate shops along the way as I initially expected, Duncan surprised us by carrying a cool bag stocked with delicious chocolates, which made the tasting even more special.
I must give credit to Duncan, who was unbelievably at hand during our tour – which ultimately felt very much like a private one due to the group's small size on the occasion. He led us through the heart of Bristol, following a path that allowed him to share so much history. There were unexpected pieces of information, images, a few good chances for discussion, but most importantly a well-prepared guide who knows his stuff and went above and beyond for us. Along the tour there are treats to taste that accompany the story of the city's involvement in the field of chocolate, but that was not the only narrative the tour dealt with. We ended the tour feeling decidedly satisfied with every aspect of it, which I'm confident applies to all of Duncan's other tours. Once ours was over, he went so far as helping us plan our day-trip; that alone makes him a shining example for all tour guides!
I am a Bristol native, however, I learnt a lot from this tour, in a fun and innovative way. I found the tour was good value for money and the length of the tour was perfect with about the right amount of participants to allow everyone to ask questions and most importantly to be able to hear what the guide had to say. I would highly recommend this tour and I fully intend to book on more tours with this company.
A really enjoyable walking tour, Duncan was an excellent guide, sharing his extensive knowledge to condense the story of the origins of chocolate, its ingredients and how Bristol is connected, bringing both humour and some of the darker side into the narrative. Sweet treats at strategic points along the way which all had a relevance to key stories and locations. A great thing to do for locals and visitors to the city .
Great tour, Duncan was really knowledgeable. Interesting little chocolate treats throughout including raw sugar cane, cocoa nibs & cocoa butter. We both had a lovely morning. Approx 1hr 30mins total.
As well as a lot of information about the history of chocolate in Bristol, we got s lot of goodied to est Wonderful!
