Fataga
here you will be greeted by the green Valley of Fataga, a sumptuous garden of pine trees, a striking contrast to the peaceful and delicious spot made up of the well preserved little whitewashed village houses. These houses line narrow little streets that cross-cross the centre, adorned by a plethora of colourful flowers.

Pico De Las Nieves
To appreciate the essence of a place and soak up its atmosphere there is nothing better than getting to the highest point. In Gran Canaria this is the Pico de las Nieves lookout point right in the centre of the island. At 1,949 metres above sea level the uninterrupted views out over the Unesco Biosphere Reserve, with its innumerable deep valleys and jagged ridges shrouded with vegetation and crowned with spectacular rocks. Unlike other lookout points La Nieves has great views on cloudy days as you get to see Gran Canaria’s peaks and Tenerife floating on the sea of clouds.

Cruz de Tejeda
Our next stop is to the municipality of Tejeda, in the mountainous central region of Gran Canaria. Tejeda is 44 kilometres from the capital of the island. The natural surroundings of this area are characterised by the large woods of Canarian pine, which at present also share space with a large colony of almond trees.There are numerous stalls which sell typical products of the area and where, among other things, one can savour the typical hand-made pastry of the municipality, elaborated with almonds, as well as enjoy the magnificent views of the Roque Nublo.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with the most amazing guide, Belinda. From picking us up directly at our hotel, driving expertly up and down the very windy roads to the centre of this stunning island and through the beautiful villages and towns to finish up coming down the east coast and back to our hotel, she kept us thoroughly entertained, imparted a huge amount of knowledge of this island and left us appreciating Gran Canaria so much more. (There is so much more than the tourist resorts) She also kept our two teenagers engaged through out and it was the highlight of our stay which means a lot (especially since they were away from wifi all day!!). By taking a private tour we avoided most of the crowds, and got to spend more time in some of the towns and villages. Belinda never made us feel rushed and ensured we all felt happy with each place she took us to, including a wonderful lunch with a view. She had tailored the package to what we wanted to see and we will definitely book again on our return to tick off the rest of the island.
We had an amazing day with Sergiu! He is extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humor which helped with our lively group. What made the day great was we were able to see all of the highlights of Gran Canaria without ever feeling rushed. Would highly recommend Epic Tours!
We had a lovely day with our guide and driver, Sergiu. He picked us up from our ship and took us to see the dunes, beaches and beautiful south countryside of Gran Canaria. We had lunch at a scenic seaside fish restaurant. Sergiu is a wonderful and informative guide with great driving expertise. Thank you Sergiu!
This was an exceptional tour. Our guides Sergio and Melinda were great and the driver Juan also. Saw the beauty and was very educational. They made it a fun day. They knew when we had to be back at the ship and kept us on time while seeing a lot of the island.
One of the best tours we have ever done!! Highly recommend! We had 6 of us with a fantastic guide (Belinda), photographer and great tour guide (Sergio) along with a great driver Juan. Believe me, you need a good driver on these roads! Lunch was perfection - in a cave with tapas and best view ever!! Saw so many things on the island of Gran Canaria. Would do a tour with any of these - any time!
It was an amazing shore excursion to take. Our guides Sergio and Melinda were awesome. So knowledgeable and made it fun. Our driver Juan was great too on the winding and switchback road that a big bus with many people could not drive on as street narrow. Would recommend to all if going to Gran Canaria.
I spent three days with Naty seeing the north, south and central parts of the island. I provided a list of the places I wanted to visit and Naty made sure we visited them and much more. I have some mobility issues so that precluded me from doing any hiking or too much walking, but nevertheless I left feeling very satisfied and didn’t feel like I missed out on anything. Naty was a wonderful guide - he is very experienced and knowledgeable and clearly has an infectious passion for the island. He went to great lengths to be sure I had the best experience - at one point a road to one of the sights I wanted to see was closed - he called the local police to see if we could access it another way - and they gave us permission to do so! He really went above and beyond. It was an excellent experience.
Sergio was very personable and an excellent guide. Not only a professional photographer but a delightful guide to showcase Las Palmas. The trip took us all over the island and a journey through the mountain giving us a very different perspective of what Gran Canaria offers. It was a memorable experience and highly recommended.
