Montmartre
Während das Herz der Stadt auf der Isle de Cité ruht, lebt die Seele der Stadt in Montmartre. Wir starten am Moulin Rouge und hören die Geschichten hinter der roten Windmühle. Dann beginnen wir unseren gewundenen Weg durch die bezaubernde Nachbarschaft. Die zweite Station während des Aufstiegs ist das Cafe des 2 Moulin, Gastgeberin unserer französischen Lieblingsheldin Amélie. Wir werden die Hauptstraße entlang zu den Künstlerateliers von Picasso und anderen gehen. Nachdem wir die berühmtesten fotografierten Straßen der Gegend passiert haben, sehen wir den Clos Montmartre, den einzigen Weinberg in Paris. Ich kann nicht anders, als an La Maison Rose vorbeizukommen, das seit über 100 Jahren von Utrillo am selben Ort gemalt wurde. Wir betreten das Montmartre Village, um Künstler in Aktion zu sehen und vielleicht sogar eine Figur oder ein Gemälde zu bekommen. Wir werden das Dorf verlassen, um die Liebesschleusen zu passieren, die nach Sacre Coeur führen, wo wir die Aussicht genießen werden. Unterwegs werden wir in diesem Dorf Geschichten über Dalida und St. Denis hören, die sowohl die Pariser als auch die Gäste lieben.

Had an amazing walking tour of Montemarte with Allison of Montemarte . Highly recommend it.
I wanted this trip to be special and perfect in every way for my granddaughter's first time in Paris. Allison helped me accomplish this with the itinerary planning, the tours and the restaurant recommendations. We were able to breeze through our days because of the Trip Plans app she loaded everything into for us. It had dates, tickets for our tours, restaurant reservations that were booked, links to attractions and restaurants we might like, really helpful information about taxis, tipping, and background information for various monuments, etc. She also set up a private driver for us to get the airport on the day of our return. Our flight was early in the morning and I was very concerned about reliable transportation. Her driver was communicative, on time, and got us to the airport with plenty of time for check in and security procedures. Thank you, Allison, for making this a very special gift for my granddaughter.”

While Paris isn’t the most difficult city to navigate, it is impossible for a tourist to appreciate the subtle history of the various sites and sounds of the city without some assistance. Our guide Hortense provided just the right amount of insight necessary to fully appreciate the Montmartre area. She met us at our apartment and helped us navigate the metro, while also getting an understanding of what we were interested in seeing and doing. There is no way we could’ve appreciated this part of Paris without her assistance. she was friendly and engaging and really enhanced the visit to this area.
Allison is an excellent tour guide. She is knowledgeable, engaging and obviously cares about ensuring everyone has a memorable experience!
