Private Archäologische Tour durch Pompeji ohne Anstehen

We had two days of 4-hour tours in Naples and Herculaneum/Pompeii for a group of three, conducted in parallel in two languages, Ukrainian and English. Viktoria planned everything very well — from parking to time to “explore on our own” — and was flexible in adapting to our spontaneous ideas, such as stopping for coffee or taking a restroom break. Perhaps due to the limited time or our own lack of theoretical background, the tours felt somewhat overloaded with details (especially names), which were sometimes hard to process, and it didn’t always feel easy to interrupt with questions. A general introduction and a short overview of the tour — possibly even sent in advance — would have been very welcome. Special thanks as well for the help with recommendations beyond the tour itself, such as where to eat or where else to go.

Victoria is a wonderful guide who brought Pompeii to life with vivid, heartfelt storytelling. She handled our mixed‑age group brilliantly, engaging both children and adults, sparking curiosity, and keeping everyone involved—clear proof of her professionalism. She is highly competent, friendly, cheerful, and a pleasure to be around. Our kids said Pompeii was their favorite memory of the entire trip—and that was entirely thanks to her fantastic tour. The only regret is that we had too little time in Naples and the surrounding area. If we’re back in Naples, we will definitely book a city tour with Victoria. I have been on many tours in my years of traveling, but this tour with Vika was the most amazing experience for my daughter and me. We were able to be in contact with Vika before the tour to plan it together in advance and being seasoned travelers we wanted to see parts of Pompeii and Herculaneum that are not seen by the normal tourist . Vika arranged that beautifully. We were able to be in contact beforehand and she was very responsive to our questions,and very helpful in planning our tour. Some of the highlights were that we were able to meet up with an archaeologist who showed us an amazing ancient house in Pompeii and spoke about its significance and history before, and after the eruption. In Pompei, Vika arranged for us to get into areas that are rarely seen by the average tourist. At Herculaneum, Vika showed us the most amazing parts that we had never seen, but what was most important about this tour was Vika herself. She is an extremely knowledgeable and educated person on the history of Pompeii and the ancient world. As a historian ,she is up there with the best of them and is able to speak about the history in a very educated and sophisticated way. She is inspirational , enthusiastic in her love of her work, and she’s very generous with her time. She also was able to recommend a fabulous driver for us and a great restaurant that we had lunch. I would highly recommend her especially if you yourself has an interest in ancient history and the history of this area. One would be so lucky to have her as your guide. I can hardly wait to get back to do another tour of Naples with her! Thank you Vika, for a memorable experience that we will never forget.
