OMG, when I tell you that you’ll want to book Manni Emam—DO IT! For starters, we had zero idea who we would be spending the day with. Our guide and driver were randomly assigned to us, and we seriously lucked out with Manni as our private guide and Abdul as our driver. They communicated with us the night before our tour and both showed up early to our hotel for pickup. Abdul had the car clean, cool, and ready to go with bottled water waiting for us. And every single time he pulled up after we finished a tour site, the car was perfectly cooled with AC and restocked with more water. Trust me—you will appreciate BOTH after all the walking in the Cairo heat! 😂 As for Manni, I had the opportunity to work with two different private guides during our trip through Egypt, and Manni was my favorite. He is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He has traveled extensively outside of Egypt himself, which I really appreciated because he has a broader perspective on different cultures and religions. When conversations naturally moved into religion, culture, or history, his perspective never felt one-sided. And when it comes to Egyptian history, Manni absolutely knows his stuff. He is very well educated and has studied Egyptian history extensively, but what makes him special is the way he teaches it. I genuinely enjoyed learning every piece of history from him. It’s like having that one favorite teacher in school—the person who makes you actually WANT to learn. It makes such a difference. Now for the unexpected bonus: MANNI TAKES THE BEST PHOTOS! I had pretty much accepted my fate in life that I am simply not photogenic. 😂 Well, apparently I just needed Manni! He captured so many beautiful candid photos of us and had an incredible amount of patience directing my husband and me on how to pose. He also knows all the cool photo spots away from the crowds of tourists and had the patience to take what felt like a gazillion pictures until we got the right ones. Ladies, you know my pain when your husband either can’t—or simply WON’T—put effort into taking vacation photos. 😂 Look no further. Manni had me out there feeling like an IG influencer. (Obviously, I am not. 😂) I HIGHLY recommend booking Manni and Abdul together. The dynamic between these two is incredible. They coordinated every drop-off and pickup seamlessly. Abdul knows his way around the streets of Cairo, and we were never left standing around waiting for the car. As soon as Manni called him, Abdul was there and ready to go. Together, they made the entire day feel effortless. You have Manni as your private guide, Egyptian-history teacher, AND bonus photographer, while Abdul is basically your professional transporter, AC provider, and hydration manager. 😂 Unmatched dynamic. I truly wish both of these gentlemen nothing but success. They gave us such a memorable private experience in Cairo. And guys—DON’T FORGET TO TIP THESE MEN WELL! You’re booking them privately for the entire day, they are taking care of you from site to site, Manni is doubling as your personal photographer, and Abdul is making sure you’re transported comfortably and safely all day. If you get Manni Emam and Abdul together, consider yourself lucky. We certainly did!
