Our first stop is at the Farmer house (Pantaleo). Here you will try Olive oil and wine while Pantaleo's wife serves us puglian snacks.
Next stop is Nardò, a charming baroque town where you’ll enjoy a relaxing coffee break. Try the famous caffè leccese—espresso over ice with almond syrup—and pasticciotto pastry.
From Nardò, we ride toward the shimmering Ionian Sea and reach the seaside village of Santa Maria al Bagno, whose crystal-clear waters offer the perfect chance for a refreshing swim.
We then continue cycling along the scenic coastline—mostly on dedicated bike paths—until we arrive in Gallipoli, known for its historic old town set on an island and surrounded by turquoise water.
From Gallipoli a private taxi (included) will take you back to your hotel in Lecce in about 35 minutes.

Fantastic tour through town and countryside. Great quality bikes and experienced guide who was exception, we loved every minute.
We wish we could give Puglia Bike Experience more than 5 Stars. It truly was the highlight of our holiday. So professional but such good fun. Our tour guide Tom was brilliant, so knowledgeable. Amazing bike tour! Our bike tour from Lecce to Gallipoli led by Marco was my favorite experience during our entire two-week trip traveling the Amalfi Coast over to Puglia. This tour has it all: cycling through the Puglian countryside; meeting local producers who produce not only wine and olive oil, but garbanzo beans and wheat! (highly recommend purchasing some of their goods); a small village stop for Caffè Leccese (amazingly delicious); a swim in the beautiful Ionian Sea; a seaside lunch; and lastly, a knowledgeable guide who very much wants to curate an authenticate and meaningful experience. Beautiful scenery, cycling, swimming, food and wine, local culture, history, and wonderful people all rolled into one unforgettable experience. I truly cannot recommend this tour enough. If you are visiting Puglia, put this one on your list!
Excellent way to experience Puglia and Salento. Loved the ride thru olive groves, vineyards and the coast and the intimate olive oil and wine tasting was very special. Marco made our experience smooth and easy, and Klaas was a fantastic guide. The tour was flexible given the small group size which allowed us to extend our time along the coast. As well, we appreciated riding on virtually new e-bikes.
Absolutely amazing! I spent 7 days exploring Lecce and surrounding areas for the first time and this was by far the most memorable experience. The views, the food, the drink, and of course the company! It was my first time using an e bike as well, very easy to use. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, fun, informative and surprising. Enjoyed by all, including 2 teens/tweens. Frescoes at the churches were different from anything we’d seen, and probably not something we would have planned to visit but for the bike tour. Olive oil press was very interesting, and lunch was special and delicious. Tom is a fantastic guide and Marco friendly and helpful. Would take another tour with this group again anytime!
10/10 for this experience. I've been travelling for 6 weeks and this has been the best day of my trip so far. From Marco's communication in booking the tour, to the care Tom took of us during our cycle. We passed through beautiful countryside, stopped at a farm to visit vineyards and sample wine, olive oil and frisse including purchasing a few samples to take home in our panniers. Our lunch stop was a gorgeous al fresco lunch in the beautiful Santa Maria al Bagno , one of the nicest beaches I've seen in Puglia. I was lucky to join some fantastic people also visiting Lecce and our little group had the best day out with lots of chats during our scenic cycle. Do not miss this opportunity if you are visiting Lecce. Thank you Tom for the best day!
I highly recommend Puglia Bike Experience for anyone in Lecce looking to explore surrounding area by bicycle. The business owner Marco was extremely helpful in recommending the group tour Lecce to Gallipoli with guide. He also fitted me perfectly to an e-bike. The guide Tom knew his way around and always made safe riding a priority. We visited a vineyard and tasted their wine, as well as "friselle", a local specialty home-made - while we watched - with the property's own fresh twice-baked bread, olive oil and fresh tomatoes. Yummy! Tom also shared so much of his knowledge about the history of the area. Unrelated to this particular tour, the next day Marco set me up with a lovely itinerary for a self-guided country-side and sea coast tour. He even checked in with me a couple times on WhatsApp for support. If I get back to the area, I'd probably sign up for another tour!
