Anatol (our guide) provided a custom and very informed trip through Annecy. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Annecy. He answered all of our questions and provided a great historical walk thru of the town, churches and buildings. It was effectively a private tour for my wife and me, with Anatol as our guide. The first “private tour” we have been on, highly recommend this tour!
Anatol was a delightful young man and an exceptional guide. He shared so much fascinating history and detail about Annecy, and I learned so much during our tour. His knowledge and enthusiasm made walking around the city especially enjoyable. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to explore Annecy with him—highly recommend!

Leisurely, informative and easy walking tour of Annecy with a wonderful guide in Anatol. Anatol took me through the highlights of the city - he knew the history of Annecy very well - and what you think is the picture postcard building in the canal turns out to have been a prison for some 500 years. You imagine quite a different Annecy at the end and understand it from the days of the King of Sardinia right through to 1944 and the end of the war. It was brilliant. Highly recommend. And Anatol is a great conversationalist, easy to spend time with, and very engaging. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a 2 hour rundown of Annecy so they understand the city more. Inside the cathedrals and churches was awe-inspiring. Thank you Anatol.. may the force be with you.
