Visit in Pompeii - Herculaneum Private Tour with Ada

We had a beautiful, minimally crowded, surprisingly sunny day to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, taking about 6.5 hours including some time for lunch in between locations. Ada is someone who obviously loves her job & has a very deep knowledge of both locations, which she shared with us with both reverence & humor. We learned so much about Roman daily life, culture and politics of 79 AD. Ada was receptive to our questions and adapted the time we had to fit our interests, since you cannot possibly see everything. It is a lot of walking, with uneven pavements so take that into account. We were glad we saw both Pompeii and Herculaneum, as each had a different story to tell in the way that the tragedy unfolded. Having a personal guide really brought the experience to life in a way that I do not think would have happened with an audio or self-guided tour. Since we traveled so far & waited so long to see these sights, it was definitely worth the price. And we can't imagine a better guide than Ada.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. I was organising a tour for 13 people. Communication in advance was exemplary by email, WhatsApp and phone. Ada is a charming and passionate host. She loves her job and it showed. Her English is excellent. Our party was tired after a late night, but Ada had them riveted. She is a mine of fascinating information; she knows her stuff. All of us rated her first class. I recommend her wholeheartedly. She arranged a transfer from Naples for us, which was efficiently delivered.

She has adapted perfectly to our children, involving them with great pedagogy and enthusiasm.
