Tour Details: Following an arrival drink and introduction in your tasting room, The Library, attendees will be shown around your production floor before a vertical tasting of The House of Botanicals portfolio, finishing with a drink on departure.

Cocktails were exceptional, matched only by the knowledge, wit and charm of the host. 100% recommend. This cocktail tasting was centred around the concept of bitters (in all their forms) and how they inform every cocktail they are used in. The first thing to note about any cocktail tasting at the House of Botanicals is, that Adam, the host, and owner, is a massive geek, and I say this with the most heartfelt admiration and positivity. His knowledge is second to none. What he doesn’t know about the world of cocktails isn’t worth knowing. Unlike most geeks though, he delivers his knowledge with passion, joy, and integrity, and more to the point, he delivers incredibly tasty beverages. He has been on a journey to make exceptional cocktails, and to produce exceptional products to combine to make those cocktails for almost two decades. His anecdotes are hilarious. The “Library” where these cocktails are consumed is cozy, refined and (if you can ignore the occasional sound of trains rumbling overhead) serene. What absolutely makes these events though is his passion for his art, and his integrity to do so in the most ethical way possible. If you do one cocktail tasting session ever, make this your one. Also, no, he didn’t pay me to write this. If he had, it would scan better and would be more poised. Go visit. You will not be disappointed.
The knowledge of Adam, the intimate but yet open environment and, of course, the drinks was fantastic. The experience was named ‘corpse revivers’ and they’d parrot you up very nicely for the day after! Vegan friendly with the egg foster as well if you need that! Loved it and already planning the next session!
Adam, through his knowledge and engaging way of conveying his love of the history of the cocktail made this a truly enjoyable and fun experience. The range of cocktails we tasted showcased his skill and were greatly enjoyed by all of us. (Adam, noted our preferences and included that in the cocktails he mixed). The atmosphere throughout the experience was relaxed and informative. All who came along are looking to go again!
A hidden gem but a MUST DO in Aberdeen. Adam is a world class cocktail champion and PASSIONATE about his caft in making old style gin and botanicals. Wonderful story teller and outstanding tasting experience. His locally produced Gin and associated products are exceptional. We had to buy an extra suitcase to get the gin we purchased back to Oz. Thanks Adam.

We had a great afternoon with Adam. He is so knowledgable and passionate about the drinks. His heritage is fascinating and how he has incorporated this into his business is commendable. The venue is also really cool, great vibe. The drinks were superb, and the session includes a bottle of Adams own creations. Can’t wait to try to recreate the cocktails at home. This was my second visit and I would definitely book to go again. Highly recommend
Had a great time at House of Botanicals for a gin tasting experience second to none. Adam's knowledge is incredible, and he was a great host, even going over the allotted time and allowing us to try some additional drinks. 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and interesting experience with plenty of gin!
I’ve been a fan of this Scottish gin brand for a long time but when I was up in Aberdeen we had the most amazing and educational afternoon at the House of Botanicals gin tour and tasting. I HIGHLY recommend this if you like gin, learning soooo much about booze and processes (one of my favourite programmes is ‘In the Factory’) and there’s a lot of interesting things to learn about having a really low omission and ethical B-Corp business. We had an amazing time and left with boxes full of the bottles of gin and bitters we bought. Check it out if you haven’t seen their place down by the arches - really cool! My father in law didn’t even drink any gin and he loved the experience and the learning
