Valley of the Kings
Your day begins with pickup from your Luxor hotel by our professional Egyptologist guide. Cross the Nile to the West Bank, where your exploration of the Theban Necropolis begins. The Valley of the Kings is home to the tombs of more than 60 New Kingdom pharaohs, including powerful rulers like Ramses II, Seti I, and the boy king Tutankhamun. Temple of Hatshepsut
Next, you'll head to the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, where the awe-inspiring Temple of Hatshepsut rises in harmony with the surrounding mountains. This unique structure was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's few and most successful female pharaohs. Explore the temple's three levels, connected by long ramps and adorned with beautiful reliefs detailing Hatshepsut's divine birth and trading expeditions to the land of Punt. Colossi of Memnon
On your return to Luxor, make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These statues once flanked the entrance of a grand mortuary temple that has mostly vanished over time. Standing at over 20 meters tall, the Colossi have become iconic symbols of Luxor’s western bank.
