A big thank you to Chai at Hot Rocks for our rock climing trip. He was calm and patient giving clear instructions. We had a brilliant morning, I achieved something I never imagined at 53 and my son at 15 has found something new that's exciting and challenging.... that I know he will want to continue doing. I joined Hot Rock Climbing School during my stay in Krabi and had a fantastic experience. Por, the guide, is professional and capable of supporting climbers of all levels - from absolute beginners to advanced, kids to seniors. He is also an experienced climber himself, climbing in Railay, Tonsai, and surrounding walls for more than a decade. Safety First - Safety is always the top priority. Por carefully checked harnesses and ropes, and gave clear briefings before each climb. I've seen tired ropes at other schools but here, everything is very well maintained and clean. He knows the local crags, tide, and weather conditions very well, always choosing the best location for the day. Tailored Experience - Hot Rock offers smaller groups compared to some other schools in Krabi, which makes the sessions more personal and enjoyable. Por adjusts the pace and challenges to fit each climber, making it beginner-friendly while still engaging for advanced climbers. For larger groups or corporate events, the school can team up instructors to accommodate everyone. Beginner-Friendly Yet Inspiring - As someone still new to outdoor climbing, I appreciated that there was no pressure to overperform. My first time climbing with Hot Rock was in 2001 and now back with the family for the third time. They are not just world class climbers but wonderful and amazing people. The whole family had a lot of fun while advancing our climbing skills. Despite being a slightly fear of heights Po, Phon and the team made us feel safe at all times. Only 2-4 people per instructor which was perfect. Can recommend Hot Rock to anyone looking for a great experience!
