What you'll do
Following a welcome briefing, you’ll be given an overview of the session followed by a demonstration on chocolate making by a professional chocolatier. Everyone will each make their own unique and individual ganache (cream & chocolate-based filling) using a wide range of natural ingredients and will pipe this into their milk, white or dark chocolate moulds. The moulds are then topped with tempered chocolate using a flooding technique and placed in the fridge. Dairy free option of coconut oil also available upon request. Whilst chocolate moulds are chilling, you will be taught how to professionally decorate a lolly using fine piping techniques. After a brief practice session, you’ll put your newfound skills to the test in a lolly decorating competition. We give a chocolate prize for the best decorated lolly! One of the best parts of the session is when the chocolates are spectacularly ‘demoulded’ to produce an array of wonderful handmade chocolates. You’ll then have an opportunity to hand pipe and decorate your chocolates. At the end everyone takes home a beautifully packaged box of their very own chocolates (21 chocolates per person) and lolly, to wow friends and family.

Absolutely fantastic morning immersed in the world of chocolate making and decorating. Sally and Jen were friendly, helpful and funny, making the experience incredibly engaging. A great balance of learning through observation and practical experience, more chocolate tasting than you could ask for as well as taking home your own hand-made and decorated chocolates. We could not have enjoyed this more and highly recommend the experience.

We had a brilliant time at the chocolate making workshop. Pippa was very informative and we really enjoyed having a go at making our own chocolates and decorating a chocolate lolly. There was lots of chocolate to taste, and the lolly decorating competition was fun, (although we were sad not to win the delicious chocolate prize for the best decorated lolly!) The location was easy to get to and comprehensive directions and information about the day was provided in advance. All in all a brilliant morning and great value for money.
Fantastic experience – highly recommended! I booked the chocolate workshop as a 70th birthday gift for my mum and attended with my mum and sister. We all had such a brilliant time! The workshop was really interesting, great fun and extremely well organised. The quality of the chocolate and the whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we came away having learnt loads as well as making some delicious chocolates. Pippa was fantastic – a brilliant teacher, incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. She made the session engaging, informative and relaxed, and everyone felt encouraged throughout. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my mum’s birthday. We’d all happily do it again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, unique experience.

The chocolate making was really enjoyable and fantastic to see a variety of designs from all the participants. I would highly recommend it to all. The best Saturday morning I’ve had in ages. I received this chocolate making experience as a birthday gift and took my fiancé along. It was a really fun and interesting morning. Alex and Sally were brilliant hosts, professional, friendly and informative. We each made and took home a lovely box of 21 chocolates, and a personalised chocolate lolly. Information given by Pippa before the workshop was comprehensive, directions, parking, what to bring etc. We didn’t take aprons but were provided with some. I would certainly recommend this workshop.
